I couldn' t sleep. It was impossible. With this much joy and exitment, how can someone sleep. Sereiously? All I can think of is pretty much all things positive. My life was so great. Tomorrow, It'll be even better.

I don't know what I want. Maybe a dress...or maybe new shoes. No, maybe a new jacket or a new dress. Didn't I already said that maybe I'll choose a dress. I meant a shirt. Wait, that's it, a piece of paper. Wait, what? I meant a book.  Even better, a book sereis. Yes. Perfect. Problem now is which sereis. "Ugh" This is going to be a long night.

The next day, I woke up from bed jumping up and down. I even jumped to the bathroom. (I do weird things when I'm happy)  After getting ready, I skipped downstairs. (How'd I do that?!?!?!) When I was came there, breakfast was already served. My mother was serving Daddy some coffe while my brother's playing with his bacon.

I sat down and served myself with some bacon, egg, and some orange juice. Delicious. I finished up my food within 3 minutes. I got really curious so I asked Daddy about the news.

"So Daddy, what happened? It almost seems as if what your reading is pretty interesting." I asked.

"Local residents witnessed some kind of strange event last night." He replied showing me the texts, "Reports explained it as flashing lights and sparks acompanied by strange sounds. Some say it sounded like a firework. Others claims it as like a drill. Eiether way, it lasted for half an hour ending with a straight beam of light shooting above the area. People says it was the reason for the blackout last night."

It was actually a shock to me. Daddy said "local residents". But, I haven't heard or seen anything like that. Even weirder, there wasnt a blackout in my room. I know since my lamp was still turned on when I woke up. To explain to you, my lamp was designed to stay off after a black out. It was almost as if something's protecting me...you know what, it's got to be nothing...

"Some scientists and experts say that it was probably just constuction somewhere near. Thay also think that it might have been just some kind of electrical failure. Though, none of them could explain the beam." He finished.

"Uhhh...Emms?" My brother waved his hand in front of me. I shaked off.

"Sorry. I'm fine. Don't worry. That was nothing." I lied.

After breakfast, asked mom if I could go out for a few minutes. She told me I could as long as I could go back before lunch since she still had to get my brother to school. Then, I took  my phone and headphones. After that, I instantly got out and played some tunes.
