This idiot, Spencer, nodded his head. "You made the right choice. This way!" He happily gestured his hands towards the barely lit forest to our right, telling us to follow his lead to the path we were all most definitlely hesitant to take.
We glanced at each other one last time to show reassurance to the other. We were worried. I would be lying if I said I that I wasn't even worried for one bit. We looked away and our gaze fell on either the stupid mother--cker or the forest.
Our plan, we had so little time to think about it but, we had one for sure. Although it was kinda simple, (I guess) it was our best shot. We thought that, if we followed him, we'd be partially seperate to achieve more ground. Just not too seperate, or else that guy would be suspicious of us. I would be behind him and the other two on my side. Alex put me in the middle because she said that I was the toughest of all three of us and that I was the one who she thought would definitely take the first move on him to knock him out. She knew I hated his dirty guts.
Anyways, other than me blabbering about how awful that bi*** is, when we would get to wherever the hell he would take us, we discussed that we should stay together. And, that we would also take turns on keeping watch if we were to stay the night there.

The darkness crept over to us as the sun was visibly setting somewhere. Shadows grew and whatever that has been going on has been probably trying to drive me mad.
Can any one explain to me what has been going on. I was just so confused. What was that device thing? Where is this place? What hapened back there when everyone froze? Who was this man? WHAT THE FU**ING HELL IS FU**ING GOING THE FU** ON!!! FTW
Sorry. I just got really, frustrated. I just really want someone to tell me anything at all. I guess, there's just some things you can't explain. These were some of 'em.
I mentaly tried to calm my nerves down, noting the things around me. I needed to get something out of this place, if it were going to answer my question. We were walking on a uneven dirt path and we were surrounded by trees... as what you would expect in a forest. It was dark. And, I didn't find anything sprouting with life... at least, not yet.
But, most of all I kept my eye on every one. Everyone included "Spencer".
He was such an odd guy to me. Everything about him makes me feel mad. The idea of him makes me mad. But, I didn't want to dwell on that, seemingly as I didn't even really know who he was other than some crazy duffus who thought that three teenage girls were threats and that he was a criminal for attempted murder for one of them (to me, obviously) I needed to know more.
Outside, he looks even weirder.
He can't be too old. He seemed to be someone in their late twenties. Although, his clothing?
He wore these clothes that I'd never thought I'd see. He wore rags and a weird cloak. He wore dirty white sleeves covered by these unusual cloths and a verly poorly made pair of pants, boots high enough to reach his knees and this satisfied smile plastered all over his stupid face. He some how held this aura of a time during the 1600s. In the time of castles and kings, he seemed to look like peasant.
"Hannah?" I heard a voice beside me say and I shot them the dirtiest glare I could muster up, hating the mention of my dreaded original name. They winced at the response. "Sorry, I forgot you didn't want to be called that way. Sorry. I-"
I cut them off. "Good.""Thank you." She looked and remained that way for a while.
"Cut the crap, Emma, what do you want."
Silence tensioned and lingered for a while.
"I just wanted to ask if you're okay?" She asked so silently I could barely catch her words.
"Are you?" I raised an eyebrow.
She was silent, looking away, until she looked back at me and clearly said, "No."
"Then so am I." She shook her head, until she wailed out a tiny screech when she heard the sound of a cricket. Everyone stopped to look at her.
"What happened?" Alex sharply said.
"Sorry," Emma lowered her head, covering her eyes. "I just got scared. It was nothing, just a cricket." She meekly said.
Spencer looked at her, then back to the forest, then back at her again, shifting his weight, his face tensed. "Be careful." He finally splurted out before turning back to the forest and continued walking. So did everyone.
Before I could hesitate, I started walking towards her. Then, I pulled her away and gently pushed her to my original stance in the middle and replaced each of our positions.
Emma gave me a confused look while, when Alex saw, she gave me a disagreeing look, clearly dissaponted. "What do you think you're doing? " She mouthed at me while simply shrugged and continued to ignore her.
More of that dreaded silence.
"Thank you." Emma said, not looking at me.
I pretended as if I didn't hear her and continued on my merry way, my merry noting, and my merry eyeing.
Until we stopped.
I saw, at the far end of the path, a warm light hanging ablve a tree.
Spencer smiled and took out a sort of wooded tablet with string hanging off it. I couldn't see very well because it was dark but it had these unfamiliar letter that glowed.
Weird.
Urgently, he walked to the tree and started tapping the trunk everywhere. But then, on the thick and bulging surface, he placed the tablet and the groumd started shaking.
It wasn't big like an earthquake so although it was alarming, it wasnt much. What really caught my eye was the tree.
Slowly, it's roots started to move around, forming a circle on the trunk. It slowly then pushed like tiny needles would when stuck to clothes...but these weren't clothese. After the roots had penetrated into the tree, those wavy thing beggan to spin and only stopped when there was a big whole where the piece of tree was.
Spencer pushed the unattached area and went in.
Our mouths fell amd our eyes widened in surprise.
Spencer though, didn't seem the least bit surprised. I'm sure he's done this a thousand times...
But, I did feel stupid when he looked at us like that.
He seemed so genuinely amused at our surprise.
I grumbled and followed him inside as he opened the "door" even wider for us to come in.
