"Close it!" I screamed to the two others. Blondie locked the knob and the "ginger" pushed a wooden table to add more strength.
I was out of breath. For a moment, everything seemed so silent. The only thing I heard was my own heart beating and my fast breathing. My feet ached from running and my arms felt numb. All was eerie silence when the loudest thump I heard my whole life gave the steel door a curve. My heart beated faster and faster and louder and louder every moment. I stood still in fear. I felt so paralyzed with fear. This was not what I had in mind. I just wanted to runaway.
The blonde was shaking, curling up in a ball by the corner, crying more and more with every bullet shot at the door. The red was shouting and sreaming roughly at the men at the other side of the door. After a few minutes. The door seemed to move. I was surprised to see the blonde being the first to push the door. The Red did too. I took a while to process everything and help. Sometime later, we felt as if they gave up so we let go as wsll.
"We need to find a way out." The red head announced. "It won't be long 'till they come back too."
"Yes! I want to leave! Now! I want to go HOME!" Thd blonde demanded.
"Don't we all." The red head said sarcasticly.
"Uhh..." I trailed off. "Ginger y-" I never got to finish.
"Excuse me. Are you calling me 'Ginger'!?!?!"
"Yes. Its j-"
"You called me a ginger, huh!"
"Y-"
"I have a name!"
"Of c-"
"I have a F-"
"Language!" The blonde screamed when she sensed what she would say.
"Hmph!" The red head looked away.
"Look ,guys," The blonde seemed to resolve th problem. "We don't know each other. Right?" She paused as if to realize no one will answer. "Okay. Let's sgart all over again. Call me Emma if you want!" She said sweetly like a child that seemed to daydream.
"She's right." I assured to her. "My name is pretty long but call me Alex instead. You have no right to call me Ali. You are not my friends and never will. I just happened to get in this situation."
Emma frowned seeing the red head. Her lovely smile came back when the red head turned.
"Fine." She spat. "Name's Hannah but I hate my name so call me H!"
"So, Alex. What did you want to tell us?" Said H.
I didn't say anything but I just pointed to a metallic structure behind us. I wanted to laugh at Emma and H's face. Especially H's. OMG. Her reaction was so legit.
Sorry. Got lost. The metallic structure was leculiar but uniquely beautifull. 3 curved pillars seemed to be its outline. The platform was flat but large. Contraptions and wires covered the thing. In the middle of the platform stood a table-console. Filled with buttons, levers, wires and a screen. Far aside from it were three chairs. Leather bknd and screwed to the pillars. It seemed as if some transportasion vehicle or something.
" Dudes" I heard H's voice. "This is so cool. I wonder what this thing is."
"Me too." Said Emma "It looks like a portal from various books I have read."
I was so awed by such. I stared off and payed attention to every detail. It was art... but it seemed wasted. This was very rusty and whatever it was supposed ti be, I'm afraid it will never be what it should have been. I proceeded to the console as the two others followed. Emma decides to sit and calm her nerves down. I sat at the farthest one, though. I still didn't trust these people.
The next minute was unexpected. Another thump came through the door. This time it actually opened. The leader was furious. He had many men with him. Countless, even! H got so shocked she accidentally pushed some buttons from the console and stumbled to the last chair. The Leader was shocked. Eyes wide open and mouth big enough to cath flies.
Before I knew it, walls slid like a sliding door from the pillars. Locked. Suddenly, a seatbelt locked me and them. Our chaired moved closer to the console. All went black, shaking and, huming.
