Reader's POV

I'm nervous, no doubt about that.

But, I have to do this. For me... for Jerome.

"Five minutes!" The ringmaster shouts at me, through my trailer door.

Luckily, that's all the time I need to Gear Up.

Jerome has his throwing knives, and I have the gasoline.

It's time to wreak some havoc...

They bring me out, the spotlight now on me. I could see Jerome, behind the curtain, waiting... Waiting for his cue.

It's a full house, people's eyes staring at me from all directions.

I feel Frozen. Sure, I've done this before... But, not with this many people watching me.

They start chanting "fla-mer!" (My stage name)

I finally snap back to realization... I have to perform.

I sing, lighting the rings on fire, "step aside and let me run my reign. I'll entertain you while I'm spinning Flame."

I toss all three rings, now on fire, in the air.

Waiting for the Rings to fall back down to me, I turned to where Jerome is hiding, "I'm still the same, I promise I'm the same." Just to ensure him that I won't abandon the plan.

I sent my head back to the audience, catching the Rings as I do so.

I put a guard over my teeth, biting down on one of the Rings.

I crawl until I'm able to fully shift my weight on my two hands.

The other two rings are tossed to me by some random audience member, and I catch them with my feet... I continue to juggle, whilst walking on my hands.

I spit out the ring I had in my mouth, " la dadada dyin', forced to perform."

Sobs choke me... but I force them down my throat.

"it's me, I'm crying."

Icemark, remembering that we're not allowed to curse around the audience... But, fuck it.

"Make sure you pack your fuckin camera, I've got a lot if things to show ya."

Jerome comes running out from the curtains, throwing one of his many knives.

That said knife landing square into the ringmaster's heart.

"Well? Don't stop now, Gorgeous!" He laughs.

I blush at the nickname, and keep singing as he said... while he searches the crowd for more voluntolds.

"Circus Freak! We are the clowns you wish that you could be, yes, you could be."

Jerome laughs again, "Join us, Kiddos!" His face falls, "or... die with the rest of this pathetic circus."

I do a flip, landing by Jerome's side.

" I'll do one number while we torture thee." I winked at the group of children.

"Jerome~" I whisper, "let's recruite all the kids! The more the merrier, right? It's not the adults will remember anything anyways, they seem more rotten than a jack o'lantern at Christmas."

I scrunch up my nose, and he boops it.

"I couldn't agree more, Doll."

He pushes me into a fake lion's cage, locking it.

He Winks at me... I get it.

"Set me free!" I laugh, "I'm caged inside this shit reality."

The bars, being made out of plastic, I was able to cut my way out, with the saw-knife I had hidden in My Hollister.

The cage, also being filled with confetti, I grab some, exiting.

"So buy a ticket," i throw the shredded paper into the air, "take a ride with us."

Jerome had gathered all the children and placed them in the center of the 'stage.'

"Center Stage," I hop up into the bleachers, making sure everyone was out cold.

Oh! Did I forget to mention that we gassed them? Oops!

I laugh.

" I feel them come over me, like a wave."

I skipped down to the children, circling them like shark Circle their prey, "I'd rather die than give my soul away. They're all I have at the end of the day."

I roll up my sleeves, the cuts, bruises and scars revealed, the ones made by my ex.... The very ex that Jerome helped me 'take care of.'

"End of the day, I wash away the pain." My tone gone blank.

I come to a halt... all these kids seem to be younger than ten years of age.

I get an idea.

"You'll be the show. Walking monsters that people will wanna know. You'll be nothing they've ever seen before."

I pipe up the children. Some of them no longer crying, but laughing instead.

" a contradicting feeling from Below,"

Jerome Cuts me off, "ha! I should know."

I roll my eyes, still smiling, "where the voices go...
When you're away from home."

I start a chant the line I said earlier, the kids, this time, say it alongside me.

"La dadada dyin. Forced to perform, It's us, we're crying."

I put my hand up, signaling them to stop, and, in a Union, they did.

I was impressed with the immense progress they were making.

I give Jerome a smirk, the treatment seems to be working far better than I had thought, originally.

"Circus Freaks!" I shout, the children shouting back at Jerome and I, "we are the clowns that they'll want to be. Circus Freaks! We'll do our numbers while we torture them, torture them."

I clap my hands, hugging Jerome afterwards. "Ha! I can't believe it worked that fast."

" same here. I know they're kids and all, but I didn't think it would be so easy to brainwash them."

I laugh again, allowing the kids chant as well, again.

"Set us free! We're caged inside this---"

"Hush now! " I cut them off. However, they continue.

" Circus Freaks! So, buy a ticket, take a ride with us, ride with us."

I noticed all their eyes droop, and I pointed it out to Jerome.

"Ah, yes." He said, "brainwashing does have some side effects... Such as drowsiness."

" Circus Freaks..." The kids say one last time, before collapsing before our very eyes.

I squealed with excitement. We now have our own little henchmen.

I felt Jerome pull me by the waist, as I planted my lips hard upon his.

He pulls away, saying "well, it's been fun. But! I do believe we have a little mess we need to dispose of." He gestures to the unconscious crowd.

I fake pout, "hmph! you're no fun."

Earning me a smile and kiss on the cheek, "go take the kids back to the trailers... Be a good 'Mama.'"
