~JoAnn~
I brush out the wrinkles of my skirt once again as I looked around the cafe for Scott. He was five minutes late and I was starting to wonder if I was being stood up when the bell to the door chimed and Scott came sauntering in.
His head turned slowly as he searched the area for me and I waved to get his attention. A smiled spread across his face when he saw me and he quickly made his way towards me, "Whoa there, hot stuff." He smirked as I stood and his eyes traveled over my outfit. I was wearing a form fitted true- red dress with a black leather jacket and black, short boot heels.
I blushed, tucking a strand of carefully curled hair behind my ear, "To much?"
"Definitely not."
Scott placed a hand on the small of my back and gave me a gentle push, as he gestured towards the door, "How bout we head out?"
As we walked, Scott kept one of his hands in his pocket and I could hear something clacking around but I brushed it off when he pulled out his phone. He typed something out before turning to me and looking at my shoes, "You going to be able to walk Acaica's building in those?"
I raised a brow and looked down, "It's a short walk, I think I'll be fine."
"I'm just saying, if your feet start to hurt, I can carry you on my back."
I nodded and he didn't press the issue after that. The silence that followed after that was awkward. I chewed my lip, struggling to find a topic to discuss, hoping the shadow the uncomfortable atmosphere.
"Nice weather." He said after a bit.
"Oh, yeah, I guess." I glanced up, "But the cloud coverage and drop in pressure this week kinda leads me to believe that it might rain soon and..."
My words died off in my throat as I looked at the blonde haired man beside me and blushed, realizing this wasn't the guy I could ramble to.
Scott raised a brow as a condescending smirk slowly stretched out his lips. I fidgeted with my fingers, "Sorry, weather is interesting to me... I kinda tend to ramble."
"No hair off my head." He drawled, "I love watching people's faces when they talk about things they love."
"Really?" I raised an impressed eyebrow, considering that was a pretty mature response and not one I expected to come from Scott.
"Really, really." He responded as he pressed his hand to my lower back again to lead me up the stairs to the Acaica building.
Once again, that feeling of uneasiness washed over me, like there was something about his touch that was familiar and my body was rejecting the familiarity.
He had you pinned against the wall. You were crying and I-
Blaise's word suddenly came back and I had to resist everything in my body that urged me to shiver, to pull away from Scott and get as far away from him as I could. Why hadn't I let him finish? What else was he going to say? Maybe if-
No, I thought as I straightened my back, He was lying. Just trying to get a good hero image.
With that thought in mind, I moved with the soft press against my back, and entered the building with Scott.
~Blaise~
I was tapping my leg so hard that a swear my downstairs neighbors were going to report me or some shit. To me, my foot sound like a fucking bolder. Everything in my apartment seemed ten times louder than than it should be.
Red was still under the impression that I had lied to her. I had no clue why, I never gave her any reason not to trust me.
Except lose her during a frat party, dumbass.
I sighed, I was a fucking idiot. What girl would trust you after that? Across the room, my phone buzzed.
In a stupid hope that it was Red, I stood and made my way across the room to check the text.
Party @ Acaica bldg hosted by swim team. Going to be lit. bring a date... or find 1 there ;)
Party? Shit! I had completely forgotten about the party. As swim captain, I was kind of obligated to be there. To be honest, I didn't want to go. I sighed, I would skip but I knew Scott was going to be there and after the stunt he pulled with Red, I didn't very well trust him at a party with girls anymore.
I shook my head and grabbed my coat before making my way to a party.
(( I think this is the shortest chapter yet. I'm sorry guys, I'm just not really feeling this story right now. This doesn't mean I'm going to stop writing this... It just means I might not be updating for a while.))
