~Blaise~
It's been about a week since I drove JoAnn to the hospital to get stitches.
I was given a brief thank you before I was shooed off. It gave me an odd feeling for the rest of the day. Normally, it's me turning people down.
                              	Not the other way around.
JoAnn was a girl that gave me extreme mixed feelings. One moment, I want to be as close to her as I can and the next, her attitude towards me makes it almost to much just be be in the same room. I think it's because of that that I always want to be near her, interested by the variety of emotions. All for this one intimidating woman.
So it's understandable when I couldn't muster up the courage to text her, even when I went through the hassle of getting her number. So imagine my surprise when I run across her at the local coffee shop, talking to two other people.
I walked towards her, grinning when she spotted me and rolled her eyes, "Oh my God. I thought the party fiasco would be the last time."
I laughed and through a hand over my heart, "Wow! I missed you too, Red." I looked at the girl sitting next to JoAnn. She had yellow roots that ombre into green, "Nice hair, mind if I sit here?" I was already sitting in the chair before she had a chance to speak.
They stared at me in moderate shock, before the guy next to me spoke, "JoAnn, do you mind telling me why Blaise Doones is sitting at our table?"
I raised a brow at the green eyed beauty across from me, "Yeah, Red. Though, I am kinda hurt that you haven't spoken of me." I looked to the girl to the right of me, understanding why JoAnn hadn't spoken of me and I had to refrain from cringing away as the girl gave me googly eyes.
JoAnn noticed as well and scoffed," Karmen, could you please refrain from drooling on the table?"
The girl's pale complexion quickly tinted to a shade of scarlets as her brown eyes fixed on JoAnn, "Jo!"
                              I smiled slightly," Jo?"
"Why are you still here?" She asked in a tone that actually caused my chest to tighten and, guessing from the sudden change of atmosphere at the table, everyone one else wasn't to fond of her remark either.
The guy beside me brushed some of his black hair out of his face and fidgeted with his glasses, "JoAnn.... That was kind of-"
I stood and politely raised a hand, "No, I understand. I'm not really welcomed. It's okay." I looked to Karmen, "Nice to meet you , Karmen.." I glanced to the guy who gave a small nod,
                              "Mitch."
"Nice to meet you Mitch." I tucked my chair in, gnawing at my lip, before glancing up at JoAnn," It was great to see you again, JoAnn." I managed a smile, "Stay out of those frat houses. See you later."
And with that, I turned and left.
                              ~JoAnn~
I stared at his broad shoulders as he walked away, my chest compressing at the sight. I sighed and pulled my attention back to the table where my friends were staring at me in shock.
I'll admit it, that was pretty mean of me but-
"JoAnn, what the hell?" I looked over at Mitch, his gray eyes narrowed in annoyance and confusion.
I huffed, "He was annoying me." And that was the lamest excuse I have ever come up with to justify why I shooed him off.
They both gave me a skeptic look, clearing not believing my bull. I had known these two too long for them to just let me blatantly lie to their faces.
Shaking my head, I gathered my things and stood," I'll see you guys later." I said and hurried off before they could say anything or stop me.
I walked out the door trying to shove my books into my bag.
                              	"Having trouble?"
I jumped at the sudden remark and dropped my books. Sighing, I looked up and met his caramel colored eyes.
"Scott?" I bent and gathered my books, not protesting when he crouched and helped me.
Books safely tucked into my bag, I stood and looked back at Scott, who looked at me expectantly.
I raised a brow, "Sorry we didn't get to talk much at the party, Blaise kept me distracted with booze."
He blinked, "Oh, yeah. No, that's fine." He grinned, "Maybe we can hang out later, get to talk a bit more. Mind if I get your number?"
"Oh." I started to search through my bag for a pen when a familiar voice caught my attention.
"Don't you think it's a little early to be swooning the girl into giving you her number?"
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath to keep from snapping at Blaise," Who I give my number to is none of your concern." Honestly, I had been planning on giving him a fake number, but now that Blaise said something... I yanked the pen out of my bag and hastily scribbled my number on Scott's hand.
I heard Blaise grunt in disapproval and I allowed myself a satisfying grin only for it to vanish when Scott leaned and kissed my cheek, "I'll text you later than." And, with one last look at Blaise, he walked off.
Rubbing my cheek, I finally turned to face Blaise who stared after Scott, his back straight and his jaw muscle twitching as he clenched and unclenched it over and over again.
I rolled my eyes, "Would you feel better if you pissed on my foot too? You know, to mark your territory?"
He huffed, "No, I would feel better if you didn't speak to him at all. He's not the greatest guy to be associated with."
"I thought he was your friend."
"So did I, Red. So did I."
(( Sorry for the long wait guys and gals! I've been dealing with the last few weeks of school and have been swamped with test and exams! Sorry it's so short but don't worry I'll have chapter five up soon.)
