Namjoon finds himself standing in front of the student council lounge, a hand on the door knob for some reason.

He just passed by. Really.

He's just here to check if everything's okay, if Jin hasn't fucked up anything important just yet.

That's what he tells himself as he twists the knob and opens the door, his gaze meeting Jin's, who sat on his usual spot behind the large desk.

He's got papers stacked on the table, a hand on one of the many pens stacked from the pen holder.

"Namjoon?" He asks, surprised at seeing him so early. "You came to check on me?"

He feels a little ashamed for leaving him alone to deal with everything at its peak, but it's just been a day.

Just a day.

Not much harm done, no need for him to worry so much.

So Namjoon stands there awkwardly in the doorway, focusing on anything but Jin's eyes. "Yeah, well." He murmurs, unsure on how to start a conversation. "I was worried you might be causing trouble."

Jin laughs, ignoring his flimsy excuse and standing up to walk over Namjoon. "You're such a liar." He says, tiling his head back to gaze up at him with a smug smirk. "Missed me?"

Namjoon tries to remain firm. "It's just been a day." He says, crossing his arms.

Jin copies his movements, making Namjoon roll his eyes. "You've been saying that a lot." He says, leaning into Namjoon's personal space with a growing grin.

"Is that a defense mechanism to honesty or something?"

"It's what I call telling the truth Jin."

"A truth which isn't related to the question I've asked." Jin clarifies, uncrossing his arms and placing a hand on his hip. "Did you miss me?"

"I called you last night so I cant possibly ha--" Namjoon cuts himself off. Realizing he's prone to long tangents with Jin, he tries for a shorter answer.

"--No."

"Was that so hard?"

"I'd rather not hear that question from you, Jin."

Jin shrugs, leaving Namjoon's personal space. "What're you doing visiting here then?"

"Uh." Namjoon's thoughts come to an abrupt halt, his mind having trouble forming a concrete lie.

"How was the delivery?"

Jin chuckles a bit, "It would've been better if you were there with me Joonie."

"Jin, please don't." Namjoon groans, raising a hand to cover his blush. "I meant the pillows and stuff."

"It's arriving later." Jin replies, smiling. "I decided to give every approved booth decent allowances too."

Namjoon opens his mouth to complain, but Jin shuts him up with a finger to his lips.

"All within budget. Recorded everything in your secretary notebook thing too."

"Okay." Namjoon mutters in disbelief, wrapping a hand on Jin's wrist to yank it away from his face. "That's. That's good."

"If this is how you get when I do my job, I should do it more often." Jin says, laughing leisurely and letting Namjoon's hold stay there.

"Do it without expecting a reward, please." Namjoon says.

"So you're considering yourself as a reward?"

"You implied it."

Jin's summery smile doesn't waver.

"And you confirmed it."

Namjoon makes an angered noise in his throat, "I'm leaving."

"I respect your decision." Jin says, the tone of his voice dramatic. "But you're gonna have to let go of my hand."

Namjoon looks at their hands and sure enough they're connected. He doesn't remember locking fingers though.

"Right."

Jin groans in boredom, slumping unto the desk with a sigh.

Without Namjoon to offer any semblance of interesting conversation, he's taken to talking to the pen in his hands.

It didn't have the ability to provide him with witty banter and sarcasm, worst of all, it couldn't talk.

He's been stuck here alone since 6 AM, a new record without him leaving the room to prance about the halls.

The countless paperwork on his desk gave him no choice.

Jin could finish his work faster by concentrating, but he's just not feeling up to it today.

He'll concentrate another time.

For now.

No.

He sets the papers to the side, neatly compiling them to form a pile.

Before he could fully procrastinate however, a knock on the door startles him alert.

"Excuse me.." A timid looking Jimin whispers as he opens the door, he's surprised to find only Jin there. "Oh, Jin. Where's Namjoon?" He asks, stepping in and closing the door behind him.

Jin perks up at the company, quickly straightening his posture and grinning brightly. "Jiminnie! What brings you here?"

"I'm here to make a quality check on the stuff we ordered." Jimin states, bowing his head a little, looking unsure on where to focus his eyes on.

"Yoongi made you do it, huh?"

"Yeah... " Jimin sounds like he'd like to head home by now. "It's fine with me though." He doesn't sound fine with it, at all.

Sighing, Jin leans back on his chair and motions for Jimin to sit on the nearby couch. "The delivery's not due until another hour, is that okay?"

"Yeah." The younger says, nodding obediently as he plops on the couch with an 'oomph'. "I'll wait." He adds, leaning back and sighing as he felt the pillows behind his back.

Jin smiles, feeling happy enough to return to his current work.

They sit in silence for a while, with Jimin playing with the fluffy pillow casings and Jin organizing papers.

"Is it usually just you and Namjoon here?" Jimin asks, feeling the urge to talk. Jin hums, "Yeah. The other student council people have their own designated rooms."

Jimin gasps in awe, "That's a lot, and it's just for the council too."

Jin smirks, "This school is rich and biased enough to have rooms like these."

"What do you do here?" Jimin asks next, growing curious.

"Aside from make out, nothing much."

Jimin chokes on air, "Wh what?!" He exclaims, his voice cracking and pitching up. He jumps into attention, barely sitting on the chair anymore.

Jin laughs, finding Jimin's expression hilarious and adorable. "I'm just joking."

"I'm...relieved." Jimin mutters, easing back on the couch.
