After feeding Namjoon a few more bites, Jin hurries downstairs to escape.

Jin sighs as he trudges down the stairs, playing with the bowl in his hands to relieve his embarrassment.

He didn't expect to be exposed so quickly.

Going straight to the kitchen, he sets himself in front of the sink with a tired groan. He holds the bowl under the faucet and turns it on, letting the water rain on his palms vigorously.

Someone should award me, Jin thinks, staring at his hands, for being so damn patient.

"Jin?" Namjoon's mom calls, snapping him out of his thoughts. "Don't waste water now."

Jin hurries to turn the faucet closed, the bowl clinking unto the sink noisily as he lets it go. "My bad." He apologizes, a little sheepish at being caught day dreaming.

She gives him a worried glance but smiles as she makes her way out the kitchen, "I'll go ahead of you and sleep okay? Make sure Namjoon gets enough rest."

"Will do." Jin replies leisurely, saluting her with a wet hand. He turns back to the sink with a sigh, picking a towel up to dry the bowl.

"What am I going to do with you, Joonie?" He asks himself, feeling terrible.

--

Namjoon fidgets under his blanket, glancing at the door occasionally to glare.

Jin's going to sleep here tonight and after that whole exchange earlier, he feels more awkward than he's supposed to be, now that he's aware of feelings.

He's not really sure what to feel. Jin was a great guy but was he that great to him?

Sure he's attractive and charming but--

Namjoon groans, head protesting at his countless thoughts. He's not supposed to have a mental breakdown over this now, he's sick.

The door creaks open and Namjoon stills, quickly debating whether or not to pretend to be already asleep.

He considers the latter as he throws the blanket over himself and hides, squeezing his eyes shut.

"Namjoon?" Jin's voice calls, "You asleep?"

Yes I am. Yes I am. Yes I am.

"Huh. Guess he is." He hears Jin mutter, followed by approaching footsteps.

He holds his breath, hoping he's convincing enough to be asleep. The mattress dips and for a moment Namjoon panics when he feels Jin lean close.

"Night, night." Jin whispers right into his ear.

Namjoon immediately blows his cover by jolting in surprise.

Jin tries to stifle his laughter, "I knew it. You're not great at pretending, Joonie."

Namjoon groans, sitting up in disappointment. "What do you need?"

"Nothing really." Jin shrugs, still sitting on the bed nonchalantly. "I just wanted to say goodnight."

"Yeah, well. Goodnight too..." He mutters, unable to meet Jin's gaze like usual.

A long stretch of awkward silence follows; both of them unable to fill it with words. Namjoon fidgets with his blanket, unsure why Jin's still not standing up.

He hears Jin sigh and feels the mattress bounce as he finally gets up.

"Well I got what I wanted, I guess." He says, sounding disappointed. "I'll talk to you tomorrow then."

"Yeah." Namjoon manages to reply as Jin walks to the door, "Um, see you."

Jin flashes him a smile, "Yeah. See you."

He closes the door and Namjoon flops back on the bed with a groan.
