"What did Rick say?" I asked Lori who was looking after Carl and Caleb. Her answer was her bowing her head in shame and a long awkward silence.

"You didn't tell him?" I shouted before turning my voice to a whisper.

"Okay. I didn't" Lori replied in a small fragile voice.

"But you have to. You're pregnant. You need vitamins, medicine, a nice pillow. You can have my share." I said as I passed Lori my food.

"Honey, I don't want your food, okay? Eat." Lori said as she pushed the food back to my face. Nick walks over to us and wraps his arm around my waist as I wrap my arm around his. He places a small kiss on my temple, this is the first time we have shown our relationship with any of the others...we have kept it secret until now.

"You need to eat. You're too skinny. And if you're not gonna let Rick take care of you, then someone has to. Lori, you have a medical condition. I'll make another run into town. Just tell me what you need." I said panicking with Nick giving me a shoulder massage to try and calm me down.

"I need you to be quiet about this. All right? Please."

"Okay...okay...I will just are you keeping it?"

"Yes, I couldn't live with myself if I got rid of it."

"But this baby could kill you...you really want it growing up in a world like this?"

"I...I"

"I'm sorry...I shouldn't have said that. Do you know what maybe it would be fun if we had a baby in the family...some hope of a better future." I said as I bring Lori into an embrace then shake hands.

"Right, so when did you two become an item?"

"Well actually a few weeks ago."

"Yeah...she actually forced me into being in this relationship."

"OI! You wanted this as much as I did!" I shrieked as I playfully slapped him on the arm.

"Ok, well you two love bugs go and do your thing while I look after the boys." Lori smiled as she took both of the boy's hands and went to feed the chickens. I turn around to face Nick then He grabs my hands with his. We stand there hand in hand before Nick puts my hand on his shoulder then places his hand softly on my waist and before I knew it we were slow stepping in time with each other and being completely in sync. I put my head on his shoulder as we dance closer. He drops me down then brings me up and completes the move off with the soft touch of our lips together. His warm breath on mine. We hug and it is like we were made for each other...our bodies fit together like a puzzle or a key in a lock.

"You know what this dance would be way better with music," I explained as we started to dance again.

"It would be. It's a shame we don't have anything. We could make our own." Nick exclaimed as he started to hum an old song. I realise what song he is singing, I start to sing the lyrics. The song Slip fitted our situation perfectly. It felt like our song.

"You have such a beautiful voice." He smiled as she pulled me close and kissed my cheek.

"Thank you. That's not only my talent. I dance, like contemporary." I smiled through my red cheeks.

"Jamie...that's my secret as well. I used to dance loads before I found drugs."

"Nick?"

"Yeah, babe."

"Tell me. Tell me why you did drugs?" I asked Nick as I pulled him down onto the log bench made for us.

"The drugs helped me. They helped me through the toughest of times. They made me feel as though I was on top of the world. They were that hug that I thought no one could give. But then you came along and replaced that hug. I love you like I have never felt the pain. I promise you don't have to be afraid. My love is here and here to stay. So lay your head on me." Nick said as I placed my head on his shoulder.

"I'm proud of you, you know the way you overcame the drugs. I know it was hard but you did it. Our love is never going to go. I can feel it last forever. I have never felt love like this before." I yawned as we sat together.

Nick's P.O.V

"Hi, Miss Jamie and Mr Nick. My daddy said that your food is ready." Hershel's daughter Beth explained as she interrupts our moment.

"Thank you Beth dear. Jamie is asleep right now. So if you could maybe leave ours in the cooker we would be very grateful. She hasn't been sleeping very well, due to night terrors. She is exhausted. So we are just going to sleep." I explained as I hear Jamie's light snores coming from my shoulders.

"Sure thing Mr Clark sir."

"Thanks, Beth."

I move Jamie's head from my shoulder to my arm. I then slowly carry her, bridal style, into our tent and lay her down next to her. I move a few strands of hair from her face before placing a soft peck on her forehead. I sit there and watch her, she looks so perfect. Every breath she takes is small but fierce. I can tell she is fragile and hurt from losing her family. I can relate, I don't even know if my family are still alive. That is what caused her night terrors. Night terrors are worse than nightmares. She wakes up in the middle of the night, screaming shouting for everything to stop. She wakes up with no clue of her even doing it. Sometimes she isn't even awake, she does it while sleeping. Her screams are blood-curdling. It hurts me to hear her scream like that, all I can do is pull her into such a tight hug that it makes her feel secure. It breaks my heart. Luckily Caleb hasn't woken up to hear this or he has but just hasn't said anything. If he has heard, he must be so petrified.

"Baby. I am never going to leave you. I am never going to shatter your heart into two little pieces. I am never going hurt you, you can always rely on me. I am never going back to drugs, you are my drug. My love for you is what I am addicted too. Jamie, you are that hug that will keep me going. Jamie, I love you so much. You make me so happy. Please don't ever leave me. Jamie"
