I walked along the beach with some new clothes that steven gave me, it was a pair of his pants that reached up to about my mid thigh and one of his many star shirts that barely covered my stomach.

"Steven, this doesn't really make sense I can just shape-" He cut me off, patting my leg. "It's way too hot today just to shapeshift, besides you look great as me" He smiled brightly, shooting finger guns at me as I rolled my eyes, flicking his ear lightly causing the boy to laugh.

We began to walk across the board walk, chatting as usual until what Steven called a "car" pulled right up next to us. Gleaming a bright yellow and shining in the early morning sun. The brakes shrieked wildly as smoke poured from the exhaust pipe and out stepped a boy with darkish skin.

A smug grin was plastered on his face as he approached us. I looked down to see Steven, his eyes narrowed, practically blazing with fury as his grip tightened onto my hand.

"Kevin.." He muttered in pure hatred.

The taller boy, but barely reaching my height, saughtered up, slipping a hand into his back pocket before winking I my direction. "Hey babe, haven't seen you around before" He voice was low and slightly husky as I raised an eyebrow, slightly confused.

"Go away, Kevin! We don't want to talk to a jerk like you!" Steven yelled, making my gaze darted to both boy as the tension grew.

"Well, well, if it isn't the little twerp, where's your girlfriend?" Kevin teased as he bent down slightly to reach Steven's level. Steven only grew I anger as his face blushed brightly. "She's not here right now- wait! Were not dating!"

"Yeah, forgot that you two were just kids-"

"I'm fourteen!"

I just about had enough of their little bickering when I picked Steven up, placing him on my head and began to walk away casually as they boy clung to my hair.

The older teenage boy was shocked as i turned my back to him. "W-wait! Don't ignore me!"

I could hear Steven laughing, making me smile slightly.

"Oh I get it! You're obsessed with me! OBSESSED WITH ME!" He yelled as we walked further and further only making me and Steven break down in giggles and laughter. We stayed like that, walking away and laughing until Steven jumped up, making me loose my balance slightly. "Look, there's the barn! We should say hi to lapis and peridot!" I shrugged my shoulders, humming in agreement as picked up the pace running quickly to the wooden structure, laughing slightly as Steven struggled to hang on.

We made it soon after and I let Steven jump of my head, we looked to see the barn was ablaze with life. I took a moment to look around, what seemed to be the back of a vehicle was hung up near the door while little objects mixed with other objects, mostly cans and toilets were scattered around the area, along with a large field of vegetables, that's what Steven calls them anyway.

"Hey Steven!" I turned around to see a very small triangle racing toward us. Once she was an arms lenth away I noticed she was a peridot. "Hey peri-"

I picked her up, making her screech as i examined her, my eyes narrowing as her face lit up in a light green. "Why are you so small?" My comment almost immediately made her frown sadly and Steven pulled at my shorts. "What do you mean? Perdiot said most peridots were small these days?"

And then something snapped in the peridot's mind as she let out a loud. "OOOOoooohh. You've been in that bubble room since Era one, haven't you?"

Now this confused me, I let the peridot just down from my arms. "Yes, of course. That doesn't explain-"
