here's another chapter!! things are getting weirdddd

Yoongi was naturally hard working. He never slacked and always got his job done, which explains how successful he was even in university. When he was sure Jimin was sleeping soundly, he closed the curtains and immediately went back to his lab. His determination to find the cure was overwhelming since he was so close to recovering it.

"It's that." Yoongi whispered to himself as he grabbed another tube of blood to experiment after he was done.

Yoongi frowned when it gave a different reaction that he didn't expect, the red blood cell started mutating in a different way from before. He made sure to keep it in a vaccinated room so the virus wouldn't escape.

"Fuck, it's just one more step. Why can't I freaking get it?" He cursed and pressed his palms on his eyes. Maybe he just needed a few minutes to think.

Yoongi took his gloves off and threw it in the bin before exiting the laboratory and into his office. He recorded his observations and examinations into the computer and analysed it. He was so focused that he absentmindedly forgotten about Jimin.

It's already been close to 8 hours.

Jimin's eyes opened and he looked around the infirmary, disappointed that Yoongi wasn't around. He sat up and groaned when he applied too much pressure on his arms.

He poured himself a glass of water since his mouth felt really dry. Just as he placed the glass back on the table, the door to the infirmary opened.

Jimin whipped his head towards the noise and looked at the silhouette behind the curtains. "Hyung?"

He wasn't stuttering which was a good sign.

The silhouette continued approaching the creature until it stopped, Jimin could already tell that it wasn't Yoongi. The scent was different from Yoongi.

Yoongi's was soft and calming but this.. this was dangerous. Jimin whimpered since he didn't like it.

"W-who are you?" Jimin asked timidly but at the same time, he bared his teeth and his fingers curved.

The man behind the curtains didn't answer, he grabbed something from the tray beside him and jimin looked at curiously from behind the curtains.

"What's that?" Jimin asked as he pulled his blanket off, ready to defend himself. He could sense imminent danger approaching.

The man still didn't say anything, he pulled the curtains and Jimin flinched, he scrambled towards the wall and pressed his back against it. This man was dangerous.

The man had a mask covering the lower half of his face. He had a cap covering his hair and he was wearing a lab coat. Jimin couldn't recognise him and he panicked. When the man started approaching the creature, Jimin raised his hands up defensively. His teeth bared as he moved away from his cornered position.

Before Jimin could get around him and reach for the door, the dangerous man leapt forward and grabbed Jimin's forearm and threw him back on the bed. Jimin growled loudly as he attempted to bite the man's arm but he quickly retracted his arm.

Just as Jimin was about to get up and run again, the man grabbed Jimin's arm and pinned both of his arms against the bed. Jimin growled and kicked his legs up, thrashing around when the man pressed both his knees against Jimin's hipbones resulting in jimin growling loudly.

The man released one of his hands and grabbed a syringe from behind his pocket. Jimin watched as he tried his best to escape his grip. "Hyu-hyung!"

Jimin shouted as the syringe got closer and closer to his neck until the door to the infirmary opened. "Jimin!"

The man on top of him cursed under his breath and hurriedly put the syringe back into his pocket before pulling his cap lower. As his grip on Jimin loosened, Jimin took the chance to lunge at the man who dodged and grabbed Jimin's arm, throwing him towards the professor who came in before making his way out of the door.

"Fucking hell." The professor cursed as he tried to catch the man but failed miserably. Jimin growled as he pulled away from the professor's grip and chased after man. He saw a man to the right of the hallway and started chasing after him.

Halfway down, the door to one of the offices opened and Jimin crashed into someone resulting in the both of them collapsing. As Jimin was about to get up and run again, a voice from under made him stood rooted.

"H-hyung?"

"Jimin? Why are you out of bed? You haven't recovered yet!" Yoongi sat up with jimin on his waist.

"Bad guy!" Jimin pointed behind Yoongi but there was no one. The guy had escaped.

Yoongi frowned, "what?"

Jimin frowned, "a guy!"

Yoongi sighed as he grabbed Jimin's arm softly, "you're not making any sense mini."

"There was a man who attacked Jimin."

Yoongi looked up, "Professor Kim?"

His professor smiled, "I managed to get to him in time. I heard Jimin's call for help."

Yoongi widened his eyes in realisation. He hurriedly checked Jimin for injuries, he relaxed once he didn't find any new injuries. There was a bruise forming on Jimin's hips and some of his older wounds had opened up, causing it to stain the bandages.

"Are you okay? Does it hurt?' Yoongi asked worriedly which mad Jimin's heart swell with pride.

Jimin shook his head, "F-fine hyung."

Yoongi breathed a sigh of relief, "thank god."

Professor Kim hummed, he was an old man. His age was close to 60 and he was lucky he didn't break any of his body parts while he tried to save the only cure.

Yoongi frowned, things had been happening to the lab these few days. Jungkook escaped his cage twice and Jimin was attacked, Yoongi was pretty sure someone was against the idea of getting the cure.

"Professor." Yoongi started as he led Jimin into his office and sat him on a chair. "We really need to talk to."

The professor seemed to understand what he meant and he nodded curtly, following Yoongi into his office.
