When Ashley was younger she loved to go to the beach with her mom. There she met a young boy named Cody and found out that he was the boy she moved across the street from.
Her father had to move because of his job so he took his wife and family with him. They moved to Beverly Hills, California.
Her mom used to surf before she was pregnant with Ashley and Ashley always wanted to follow in her foot steps. When Ashley turned 7 her mom started teaching her how to surf.
Her mom died when she was 10 with leukaemia. By then Ashley could surf pretty well so she just kept practicing.
Her mom had also taught Cody and they got better together.
They grew up together and they were attached by the hip so when Ashley's mother died it felt as if Cody had lost a mom as well.
