As we walked into town Cody kept eyeing me to see what I would do as he knew it would be something unexpected.

I dragged him through all the shops to see if they had any new arrivals in the latest T-shirts, shorts, tank-tops, or dresses but it was mostly the same from last week.

We stopped at a surf and turf restaurant and ordered burgers and fries from the menu and gulped them down as it was already 1:30 and we hadn't really had a big breakfast.

We left the restaurant and walked into the town square and I noticed that there was a group of girls in the corner talking and looking at Cody with dreamy eyes and giving me evil looks.

I decided to start my humiliation here figuring because they were all somewhat pretty that Cody would care what he did in front of them.

As he stopped to look at one of the carts that was set up with necklaces and bracelets made from seashells and stones from the beach I slapped his ass so hard that it echoed throughout the square.

His face was so red it looked like he had a sunburn.

I was laughing so hard I didn't even realize that everyone was staring at us until he picked me up and threw me over his shoulder and ran through the rest of the square trying to get away from the scene I had just caused.

Once we were far enough he put me down and yelled "What the hell was that for?"

"I told you I was going to humiliate you, and since those girls were there I decided 'Hey why not start the humiliation now?' so I did"

Then came his smart ass comment "The bet was bragging rights not humiliating the 'loser'! Besides I didn't even notice the girls"

"Well would you prefer I go around yelling 'he sucks at surfing, he lost the first wave of the day to a girl!'?Because hey I could do that too. And of course you didn't notice those girls, that's why you smirked before bending over and sticking your ass in the air to tie your shoe when we first walked into the square"

"Hey I thought you might like the show! I'm telling you I didn't even notice them... wait why are you getting so worked up about this unless... ooh is someone jealous that I was noticing other girls instead of just her beautiful face?"

"Oh thanks for the compliment. And ha! I won the argument you just admitted you noticed them while you were teasing me!"

"No I didn't! And I won because I know what I said and what I did, so there!"

"That was a horrible argument, you wouldn't be able to defend yourself if your life depended on it haha wow."

"Ugh you are so annoying, go do something instead of arguing with me."

"Don't say that because I will end up leaving without you."

"No don't leave me here by myself, those girls will ambush me! You love me too much to leave me alone with viscous teenage girls!"

"Are you sure about that?"

"Positive!"

"Yeah, you keep telling yourself that and you will get very far in life, NOT!"

An old couple passed by and said "You know you two make an adorable couple, with all of your friendly banter and flirting."

"Umm I'm sorry but we aren't dating we are just friends."

Then the man walked up to Cody and patted him on the back saying "Hold onto her and treat her right she's a keeper." and I felt the heat travel up my neck to my cheeks and I knew I looked like a raspberry.

Then they walked away laughing and shaking their heads as if they were in their own little world and said "Oh, young love!"

I turned to look at Cody and we started laughing at how strange that conversation was.

After that we decided we had enough for one day and chose to go home and have a movie night as it was summer time so we didn't have school the next day.

I pulled up into his drive way and we both hopped out of my 2014 Jeep wrangler that I got as my birthday and Christmas present from my dad as he missed both occasions due to his work.

Cody unlocked the door and we ran inside, him turning on the tv and finding a movie, and me going into the kitchen to put the popcorn into the microwave and order pizza.

When he had set up the movie and I was done ordering we went upstairs to change.

I had clothes at his house but I like his clothes better, they are baggy on me and more comfortable, so I borrowed a pair of joggers and an oversized T-shirt.

We changed, yes in the same room, and then ran downstairs to start the movie and wait for the pizza.

He pressed play on the movie and I screamed as I realized what we were watching, it was 21 Jump Street which meant that he was going to get 22 Jump Street for us to watch right after.

I already watched this movie a thousand times but I loved it so it never got old.

The pizza arrived 40 minutes into the movie which meant it was free so we took the pizza and started shoving it into our mouths. (A lot less appetizing than it sounds)

When we had finished our pizza we leaned back on the couch and continued watching the movie.

I started to drift off during the part where the house party was going on and Cody pulled me into his lap so I fell asleep with my head nuzzled into his shoulder.

After I knew for sure she was asleep I kissed her forehead, cheek, then neck and whispered,

"I love you."
