Hey guys, what are you thinking so far? I love this idea I'm working with, not sure how well I've written it but I am getting myself all worked up over a scenario that doesn't exist!

Hope you like it!

I do not claim to own nor want to profit from anything to do with supernatural, nor do I take credit for any of the characters ect.

Dean.

Sam would not shut up. He was still on about the ridiculous lead he had in Oklahoma and how it links to it all. He just didn't know when to let sleeping dogs lie. It had been years and he still wasn't in hell, so why should they push it? Their family was due a bit of luck after everything, so why question it?

"All I'm saying is it doesn't hurt to check it out Dean, there's a case there anyway and after we can follow up on this lead. We are so close to figuring this out, can't you del it?!" Same looked over at him expectantly and Dean sighed. Anything was better than two more hours of the same argument he guessed.

"Sammy all I'm saying is don't get your hopes up. We've been close before, but we can't keep playing this game of cat and mouse. I don't see why we can't just agree that we got lucky and leave it at that."

"Because Dean!" Sam sighed, agitated. "We need to know what kept you alive and what for! You don't just have a year to live and then get off scott free, we both know that's not how hell works. They are planning something!"

Dean glanced over at his baby brother and noted the anxious look in his eyes. He knew this just as well as him, they both knew how deals went down thanks to their father, but he just didn't want to risk it. They had finally got a break, Sammy couldn't lose him too. Not after everything. He needed protecting.

"Sammy we will check it out, but we both saw what happened. Lilith's mojo broke, that overgrown hunting dog of hers took off and we got away. That's all there is to it. No demons have been near us since so maybe hell had just ran out of mountain dew and gone into hibernation."

He knew it was too good to be true, but they had tried for the first couple of years. They chased omens, they hunted the suckers, they did. But none showed up on the radar. As far as he was concerned you don't poke a wasp nest with a stick. You leave it be and everyone is left happy.

They pulled into a motel just outside of Enid and set up shop. They spent the night as they usually did: a takeout, cleaning the guns and a few beers. Once Sammy fell to sleep Dean spent a couple of hours taring at the ceiling until he couldn't stand the silence anymore and grabbed his jacket and keys.

Two hours flew by and Dean was drunk. He spent most of his nights this way though. No big deal he thought.

Yes but I'm sure your liver doesn't think so -he thought to himself- I'm sure you'll be thinking no big deal tomorrow on the hunt as well.

He hated himself sometimes, he was such a snarky little bitch.

Running a hand across his jaw, he went to survey the room. He was feeling a buzz now, he might as well find someone to enjoy it with. He spotted a curvy brunette on the other side of the bar, caught her eye and smirked. Getting up he pushed through the crowd at a lazy pace, know she would still be there once he made it over to her. He was so focused on his goal he didn't notice the blonde guy approach him until he sauntered over and pinched his ass. Hard.

"What the hell dude?" Dean snapped as he spun around, glaring at the guy who was so close that they were nearly nose to nose.

"Well darling I'd love to stand witness to the Winchester spiral of self inflicted misery that we all know and love, but I have a group of demons on my tail and no backup, so get that gorgeous arse of your in gear and help me out."

Dean took a second to work through the other mans clipped British accent before absorbing what he said.

"Listen man, I don't know who you think you are, but I'm gonna sit and enjoy my friggin' night, preferably with that piece of ass there." Dean gestured over to the woman, blissfully sat in her own world. "Now, I'm gonna leave you to enjoy being the town nut job and hopefully go get my rocks off, ok?"

"Dean for heavens sake, we don't have time for this.." The other man was cut off when someone slammed into them both and smashed them into the bar.

That certainly sobered Dean up.

Ignoring the gasps of the locals, Dean quickly ducked a punch and heat butted the dude in front of him. Front the stench of sulphur that had entered the room he guessed that the British man hadn't been lying about being outnumbered by the demons. He was internally cursing himself for forgetting his demon blade when a hand dragged him back.

"Come on this way!"

They pushed through the doors quickly and ducked quietly behind a wall, watching as he demons ran straight past them.

"Right so I will handle the brutes left inside, you circle back round to-" Dean cut him off.

"Dude I'm getting sick of your attitude already, I just wanted to have a drink and you ruined the party, so stop telling me what to do already."

"I will as soon as you are smart enough to not get yourself killed you dim witted ape! Now take this and circle back to the car park, we will round them up there and take them down." He pressed a slim silver blade into the man's hand and disappeared before Dean could even start a snarky comment.

Dean sighed, clearly this nut job had no idea what he was doing, there was only one knife he could use on these guys, and this oversized needle probably wasn't going to be unto the task. Before he could start to formulate his own plan though, he spotted three demons heading in his direction.

Man, you should of stayed home tonight, now you have to admit Sammy was right.
