Set after TVD 8x16- alternative ending of TVD -
Stefan dies saving everyone from Katherine. Elena doesn't go back with Damon. Damon is made human and he can't deal with Stefan's death and leaves Mystic Falls. Caroline receives the letter from Klaus...
Elena, Bonnie and Caroline were on their way to meet up at the Grill after work. Elena and Caroline each checked in with their respective boyfriends about if they would soon join them, as they parked up in front of the bar. They got an affirmative reply.
Now getting out of the car both greeted one another.
"Bonnie has just messaged me"- Caroline now read the message out to her friend-
"Stuck in Cassadaga for a couple of more days. B"
"Anything about the good spirits there helping us?"- Elena continued asking as they got inside.
"Not really. She spoke to Valerie and she explained that they are rebuffing her."- Caroline replied-"and how are you feeling?"
"I am better today"- Elena said-"the magic drained me a bit, but today it was ok, work was fine. Elijah checked like ten thousand times."
"You had us all worried"- Caroline said-"you were not responding at all when you collapsed - we thought it was happening again."
Flashback
A few days before, in Elena's house-
"I am cooking. Stop taking photos, Care. I can't concentrate "- Elena said.
"This one is great."- Caroline said now showing it to Bonnie.

"This is going to my scrapbook - which I am calling - Ever after-"- Caroline said-"it's going to be about us as happy people- doing normal- everyday things."
"Like having dinner with two oldest vampires/hybrid in the world- pretty normal."- Bonnie said.
"Well, it is normal for us"- Elena said putting the pan aside-"Ok- now a selfie of the three of us"- the women pulled together and Caroline clicked the button.
Damon, who now appeared at the door greeted everyone present with-
"Photos without me?"
"You can't be a center of attention all he time."- Caroline said-"did you bring the red?"
Damon handed the blond vampire the bottle of wine as Bonnie walked to him in a semi-hug exchanging a small kiss on the lips. They way their looks sparkled at one another showed immense love those two had for another.
Caroline now handed the two of them glasses filled with wine as Elena finished with the salad.
At the same time Elijah and Klaus walked in bearing more gifts - a couple of more wine bottles and a hamper of different products from a deli.
"Thank you"- Elena said taking the hamper off of the hybrid.
As they sat down, Klaus took a glass and now said-
