Forever and Always

Joey's POV
2:06 A.M and I wake up heart pounding and sweat pouring from my body. Another bad dream. Daniel peacefully next to me breathing slow and steady while he sleeps. I would feel too cruel if I woke him from his peaceful slumber. I run my fingers through my hair and shudder as chills run though my body. Daniel moves his body so it's now facing me and now slowly opens his eyes to see the mess I am next to him. "Hey Joey what's the matter." I jump as I now notice he's awoken. Daniel pulls me in closer to him as tears stream from my face. "Sweetheart what's the matter, what happened." I cry more and more unable to form a sentence. "Did you have another bad dream my love?" That's when I completely lose it and shake my head so he knows what's wrong now. "Oh Joey it's okay, I'm here don't worry, calm down." I cling onto Daniel tighter as I shudder in fear. Several long minutes later and I let out a shaky breath and look up at Daniel. He looks so worried and it melts my heart to know that he cares so much about me. "It was about my mom." I tell him. "What was about you're mom my love." He asks. "My dream. It was just all about her and her alcohol addiction, and it was all so scary I couldn't take it." "Shhh sweetheart don't get yourself all worked up again it's alight you just had a bad dream it's not real." Daniel told me. I clung onto him tighter and he kissed my forehead sweetly several times. Silence fell over our room once again and I shakily sighed. Daniel looked down at me and I looked up at him. "Always know I'm going to protect you. And I'll always love you Joey. No one is going to hurt you and I'll love you and be here forever and always." Daniel told me. Those were the words that melted my heart and put me to sleep. He kissed my lips and I fell into a slumber as I now dreamed of him and only him for the rest of the night, my prince, my savior, my one true love.
