"It's not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me."
BatmanEvery summer the Jefferson's throw a huge party to kick off the summer. If you're lucky you'll leave the party not completely wasted or leave the party at all. The Jefferson's are known for having killer parties and drinks. Any drink you could think of that has alcohol they have. How? Usually the older sibling that threw the parties in the past bring the drinks.
Around 7'o clock was the time we left Chris' house. We dropped off Jason and Thomas at their houses and then Chris drove over to mine to get ready for the party. I called in for a pizza so we could get ready and eat. I was on my second slice of pepperoni pizza went Chris had her usual problem with picking out an outfit from my closet. Chris sleeps over so much that most of the clothes in my closet belong to her, so I could say she practically lives at my house.
"Kat, answer the question should I wear this or this," She said as she showed me a loose navy tank top and a regular white crop top.
"The tank top," I say with a mouth full of pizza. I got changed into a soft blue tank top with jean shorts. Chris then gets changed into the navy top with white shorts. Then she goes into the bathroom and does her makeup. I had put on some mascara and a little lip gloss. She comes out with her long red hair tied up in a ponytail.
"You ready?" She asks while grabbing a slice of pizza.
"Yeah, just let me grab my shoes," I say as I slip on my converse. Chris eats the rest of her slice and slips on brown sandals. We left the house around 8:30 I lock up my house and we get into Chris' car. She started the car and put the roof down on her convertible.
She floored the gas pedal and blasted so random pop tune. The wind blew my hair back and the feeling of summer gives me a freeing feeling. We drove to Jason's house first to pick him and up and the Thomas'. Then we pull up to the Jefferson's. The house is a humongous mansion. You can hear the loud music from the driveway and people were running around the front yard. Things were already crazy and it wasn't even 9 yet.
"Alright who is the designated driver tonight?" Chris asks.
"Not me," Thomas chips .
"No way in hell it's going to be me," Jason laughs.
"I guess it will be me, like always," I say annoyed.
"Aw c'mon Kat, it's not that bad," Thomas says.
"Yeah trying to round up three drunk idiots isn't bad. Do you know what it's like to have to carry Jason because he's completely passed out, I mean he weighs a freakin' ton," I say.
"It's all muscle baby," He says with a smirk and then he starts flexing.
"Oh grow up," Chris says while slapping him on the arm.
"I'll be the driver tonight if you really want me too," Chris says sympathetically .
"Really?" I question with a cocked eyebrow.
"Yeah, if you want to really party tonight, I'll stay sober just for you."
"Alright then," I breathe out.
Why did I get the feeling she wasn't going to keep her word?
We start walk in and the smell of alcohol floods my nose. It's only nine and there are people already passed out on the floor. One guy was running around the house with a horse mask on completely naked. I walk into the living room. The room was dark and the neon lights were everywhere. Loud music was playing and the bar was flooded with people.
