I was so careful with all of this. How could someone find out?! That was when I realized my mistake. Someone must have heard the gunshot when I shot the phone! I was so close to having a life with Alicia!
The cops were outside the house now. I had to do something. So, I yelled out the window. "I have a woman in here. I will shoot her if you come any closer!"
This seemed to get the police to stop. They had a megaphone that they were using to try to make deals with my. I ignored them all. None of them would give me what I truly wanted, a life with my love, Alicia.
Throughout this while ordeal, Alicia was screaming against the gag that I had to put on her. I looked at her for a moment and I made my decision. I had to be with Alicia forever. I kissed her forehead and told her I loved her. Then, I pulled my gun out and shot her. It was a headshot so I could be sure she was dead. I put the gun against my temple and looked at Alicia's dead body. Soon we would be together forever. I smiled at her and pulled the trigger. At that moment, I couldn't feel, see, or hear anything.
I was dead. I wasn't lead to pearly white gates, or even fiery black ones. It was just nothingness. It was the absence of light, sound, touch, anything that made life worth living. This was what happened after death. Absolutely Nothing.
