Surprise

It was officially Valentine's Day. Alicia had to go to work because it was a weekday. I didn't mind because it gave me the perfect opportunity to set up everything.

I tidied up her house a bit before beginning dinner. I made crab and asparagus, her favorite for dinner. As it was cooking, I took a quick shower and dressed up. I thought I looked pretty sharp. I was wearing black pants, a deep red shirt, and a black tie. I scattered the floor with rose petals and I set up the table. Once I was sure everything looked perfect, I got my gift for Alicia. It was wrapped in black paper with a pink bow. I dimmed the lights and sat on the couch, waiting for her to get home.

Five minutes later I heard the door unlock. As soon as Alicia walked in I jumped up and pulled her into a hug. Instead of hugging me back she screamed and tried to kick me. I suspected she would be wary at first, so I took precautions. I pulled a chloroform soaked cloth out of my pocket and held it to her nose. She struggled against me but soon succumbed to the drug. Once I was sure she was out, I tied her to one if the dining room chairs. I hoped I wouldn't have to be forceful, but Alicia didn't want to cooperate. I got my present and patiently waited until she awoke. As I waited, I studied her features. She had a freckle under her eye that I had never noticed.

When she finally woke up, I was running my hands through her hair. It was softer than I imagined. Alicia tried to scream, only to realise there was duct tape over her mouth. The panicked look on her face made me regret putting the tape on her. But, if I hadn't she would have woken the neighbors up. It wouldn't be a great first impression if our neighbors saw Alicia all tied up.

I smiled at her and lightly kissed her cheek. "Happy Valentine's Day, baby. I love you so much." As soon as I said that her eyes got wide and she started crying. I knew she was overwhelmed, saying I love you in a relationship is a big step. But, I was sure that she would say it back soon enough. I got Alicia's present showed it to her. I had to unwrap it for her. I couldn't take the chance of untying her hands. I unwrapped her gift and began showing her the pictures.

As I flipped through the book, I told her descriptions of each picture. I noticed Alicia crying as I showed her the book. I assumed it was because she was so happy and I continued. When I got to the page with the pictures of her showering, she cried harder. I didn't understand why she was crying so much. I tried to comfort her but it didn't help.

I stayed in the house with Alicia for hours. We were getting nowhere with our relationship. She still hadn't opened up to me. To add to my irritation, her phone wouldn't stop ringing! I got so irritated that I took my gun out and shot the stupid phone. That would finally stop it's ringing. I decided to take the duct tape off Alicia's mouth. It was a stupid decision on my part. As soon as I did, she began screaming. It was much louder than before.

I was tired and extremely irritated. I couldn't take it anymore! I pulled my hand back and slapped Alicia. She seemed stunned with my reaction. I could already see the handprint forming on her face. As soon as I did it I regretted it. I just needed her to be quiet. I went to get a pack of frozen peas to help with the pain. When I came back I heard sirens. They sounded like they were coming this way!
