I sprint out the small safe house to find Amalia. Her face was bruised and her hair had been cut evenly short. Her eyes were blue, like the day I met her. Not far behind her was Luke. His eyes shifted to the ground when he saw me, but I guess I really didn't want to see him either.

Jackson and Jason also trailed behind. Cameron ran to give his brother a much needed hug. Jason was walking slower; mesmerised by a flame floating on his hand. The flame seemed to not take figure of anything I could recall, but it must have met somthing to Jason because he nearly run into the house wall before he looked up.

Once inside, Jason lit a fire and I filled a large jar with water. Luke had some seeds from camp so Luke and Amalia went to plant food bearing plants. I felt better knowing we had a better chance of surviving know we had more people.

After talking with Amalia,Luke and Jason I learned that they seekers never found the base camp, just the area around,it was only a matter of time before they found it.

"Were is everyone else?" It was a burning question I was dieing to ask.

"The shadow benders are doing their best to keep the others hidden but we will have to make a new camp somewhere." Luke explains with a very shaky voice. I know he is scared and I understand why.

Then all of a sudden a tight popped into my head. "Wait Amalia how did you get away from the seekers, I watched you get caught."

"Because the seekers are only interested in the colored eyed people I turned my eyes brown, and refused to turn them back. They couldn't do anything with me because no one would buy me or watch me." She grins, the kind that screams acomplishment.

As we were celebrating Jackson suddenly tells everyone to but quite. All of us hear hoof prints racing towards us. I knew who had found us, I could tell that sound from a mile away. I walk outside the safe house and my heart sank.

There stood my father. He was in heavy iron armor with his helmet mask drawn up so I could see his face. His horse was just how a remembered it, tall, muscular, black stallion. The horse had a short nose which had a Silver and purple bridle. Silver and purple being the house colors that my family bared.

"Maria," His voice bellowed in the open air. "You, are on longer in exile from the family name; and it gives me great pleasure renaming you." He pauses to clear his throat. "Maria Lockhart Lady of the Kings house." He looks to me for acceptance but all he found was confusion.

"Come, Maria; we have many things to do and many people to greet. What is this face, come, or I shall leave you hear for winter." He jestures his hand out towards me.

I refuse. This man in front of me was no father of mine, and if he left me hear for winter then I would find a way to survive. I turn to head back into the safe house when he does somthing I had never seem/hear him do before.

He dismounts his horse with a loud thud, lowers to his knees and says,

" Please," His moves his hands to his eyes and removes a plastic insert within his eyes. He looks again but this time with bright blue eyes and speaks," I am on your side."

I'm stunned, for I never would have imaged this to happen. My father had the ability to control water like me. My mind is racing faster than the fastest horse. How could he keep a secret that large.

He rises to him feet and remount his horse, he looks to me, his eyes plead that I could with him. I didn't know what to do. Go and leave my true friends, or leave with a man who claims to be my father. Lucky Luke and Amalia come looking for me.

" Who is that?" Amalia asks me, she must of heard me talking from inside. But before I could answer my father stepped in.

" I, am Lord Arthur; father of the fair Maria." He had a sense of pride in his voice and the moonlight made his blue eyes sparkel. Luke And Amalia both were silent until they saw that my father had blue eyes. Amalia was so confused her eyes kept changing color and my father then began to persuade Amalia to come with us.

"But who would help the camp, I mean a lot of those people need me" Amalia spoke with confidence, she knew that my father wouldn't rat their location out.

"What if I could help you build another camp?" My father asked Amalia grinning. " Would you could then?"

"One of us will have to stay here, Luke are you okay with staying with the other till we can reach you?"

" Wait, others?" The father seems very interested in the fact that there are more than three of us. "may I meet these, others?"

Luke walked up the the sage house and called everyone out. My father's eyes widen everytime someone came out the house. Once everyone was put we went through introductions.

"This is Jason, Jackson, Cameron, Amalia and Luke." I look back at the small group of people that made out of the camp, my eyes almost tearing up at the thought that there are so many more still in danger. Which is why my father is so important to me right know. He has power, money and above all and house.

My father tell me he couldn't take everyone tonight but would take me and Amalia to go over details in private also it would give us females a chance to clean up.

We mounted his horse and were on our way to my father's house. I looked back Luke is just standing there waving.
