The guards closed the door behind them before Amalia could escape, I heard her banging on the bars and screaming to let me go. Then a loud cracking sound and Amalia screeched. I heard her hit the floor, and then the guards pushed me forwards. The king brought me to his throne room, well room doesn't really cover it. It was this grand hall with golden chandeliers, a glittering red and gold carpet, and at the end of the hall was a solid gold throne with ornate designs. The king turned to me, his brown eyes dark as night.
"Your friend is feisty, but she is weak. Do you know why? Because she has hope, I shall enjoy torturing her as I did the rest of her family." He snarled and smirked at me. I spat at him, and it landed on his nose.
"You touch her and I'll do much more than spit on you." He smiled.
"I knew you'd say that, guards, bring over the other one." A guard stepped out from behind the curtain that separated the dungeon stairs from the grand throne room and pushed Amalia forward. She winced in pain and stumbled across the room, as she neared the end, she fell to her knees. I rushed over to her and helped her up, I looked at her back and saw long red marks all over it.
"You're a monster." And that was all I said. A guard stepped in and pulled Amalia back down to the dark cell.
"Cooperate and your friend will not be harmed any more. Do not, and she dies along with you and everyone you care about." I sighed but knew I had to do something. So I looked down at my feet.
"What do you want me to do." I sighed, I didn't want to help that slime ball, but I had to save them. Amalia, Cameron, Jackson, Jason... Maybe even Luke.
"Oh it's very simple my dear, I just want you to grant me a small little favour, considering my generous offer."
"What. Do. You. Want." I repeated.
"Oh, it's nothing big, not re-"
"Just tell me!" I shouted, cutting him off.
"Fine fine fine, you elementals are no fun. I just want you to kill someone for me, that's all."
"Is it you? I'd gladly kill you."
"No, someone who is building up an enemy army of mine. You may know him, a nature elemental named... Luke? Yes that's it, Luke."
