"You know what you signed up for though."

"I'm aware of that Mel," I said with a slight attitude.

She sucked her teeth and shrugged, "Don't get mad at me, I'm just saying. One day you're on cloud nine and the next you're in your feelings. There are so many other dudes out there that don't come with all that baggage. Don't settle for temporary happiness."

I sighed looking down at my phone. I knew she was right. I've told myself the same things on numerous occasions. But saying something was so much easier than actually doing it; especially when your heart doesn't agree.

"Well I say we go be friendly today. That shit would be hilarious. A bit on the disrespectful side, but still hilarious," Leandra suggested with a huge smile on her face.

Lee was crazy, which is why it only made sense for her to be one of Rob's closest friends. Leandra and Melissa were like light and day. They were both from Barbados but that's about all they had in common because they're personalities were completely different. Mel was crazy but she was more reserved with it, while Lee loved attention. I always said that the three of them balanced each other out and you couldn't have one without the other. They were all crazy, but Lee was definitely at the top. And just like Rob and Mel I loved her like the sister I never had.

I laughed shaking my head no, "Definitely not Lee."

She giggled and shrugged her shoulders, "Just a thought."

"Well if anyone knows how you feel trust me I do." Rob chimed as she lay next to me on the couch.

Mel rolled her eyes, "And I always tell you the same thing."

"Blah, blah, blah. Fuck all that shit though," Rob waved her off with her hand as she sat up. "This is making me depressed and angry all at the same time. I don't like seeing you this way, so let's go walk the halls and fuck with people's heads. I promise it'll make you feel better."

I laughed shaking my head, "No that makes you feel better, not me. You not slick."

"Same shit. Let's go bitches!" She yelled hopping up pulling me up with her.

"Yes!! I been ready to go!" Lee said as she ran to the door dramatically pulling it open.

Me and Mel couldn't help but to laugh at their crazy asses on our way out behind them. Stepping into the somewhat busy hallway Rob grabbed our arms and linked them with hers as she stood in between me and Lee. For the next hour we messed with people we saw in the hall, a few members of the band, the dancers and some of the stage production crew. The laughs had been rolling in non-stop since we left the dressing room so my mind was no longer bothered. Being on tour was somewhat like a family reunion that never ended. There was rarely a dull moment and even sometimes with the lack of sleep, it was always a party.

Somewhere in between having a double-dutch contest and playing UNO I took a break and watched everyone else on the floor. The game of UNO started out with eight people playing but now Khadija, one of Rob's dancers and Mel were battling it out to see who was going to be the ultimate loser. Rob had already won this round and everyone else that was playing got UNO after she did so they were out. Khadija had three cards left and Mel only had one but she didn't have the color or the number to match the red number seven top card. You could just see the determination on their face. It was Mel's turn so she picked a card from the deck, immediately throwing it down with a huge smile on her face.
