Chapter seven

Cassidy

"Good morning, kids!" Mrs. Marano shouted.
She smiled and was in a good mood.
"I have got some wonderful News for you today!"
"In the end of the month we are going to have a dance!"
A DANCE?!
Everyone cheered.
"So you should start to ask people now before it's too late." She continued.

"Since We decided this one week ago and I know that you haven't bought any appropriate clotes, We are taking the bus to the city tomorrow to buy clotes!" She giggled.

Everyone started to cheer.
Yay! This should be fun!

"That was all I had for today! Have fun" Mrs. Marano chuckled and walked out of the cafeteria.

A dance!
This is going to be three amazing weeks!

"Can I have your attention, please?!" A familiar voice shouted.
The room went silent and everyone's eyes was at Haley who stood up on her chair.

"I just wanted to warn you all about a criminal who is sitting in this room right now with us!" She said.
Everyone gasped.
What?! A criminal?! Oh my god!

"Not just a criminal. A murderer" She continued.
Holy hell, who?!
Everyone started to whisper.

"Who it is?" She said and bit her lip.

"Cassidy Barnaby" She pointed at me.
Everyone gasped and looked at me.
I immidately understood What this was about.
She knew that I killed my dad.
How did She find out?!
I wanted to cry, but I couldn't move.

"She may seem innocent, but She's not!" Haley continued and smirked at me.

"One day her own dad collapsed on the floor. "But Cassy didn't call anyone or went to look for help"
"She just stood there and enjoyed the sight of her dying dad!"
Is this actually happening or is it a nightmare?

"And that is not it!"
"And last night She tried to kiss my boyfriend, too!" She said.
What?!
That never happened!!!
"Cassidy is a fucking psychopath! Stay away from her!" She shouted.

Everyone looked at me with a shocked expression and whispered to each other.
I could literally feel my heart break into pieces

I stood up from my chair and ran out the door.
My life was over.
He told her!
I should never have trusted him!
I spoiled everything.

I couldn't cry.
I don't know why.

"CASSY, WAIT!!!" I turned around.
Lucas was running towards me.
"You told her" I said.
"I trusted you with my deepest secret and you just told your fucking girlfriend!"
"No, Cassy, I didn't! I don't know why She knows, but..." He started.
I cut him off.
"Cut the crap, Caverly"
"I should never have trusted you!"

"Just listen, please!" He begged.
"NO!" I shouted.
"You have ruined my life." Tears were streaming down from my eyes now.
"I didn't, I swear" He said.
"Just go away" I started to sob.
"I hate you!"
"Fine." He said.

"Your deserve to get bullied and I hope your father is fucking rotting in hell, bitch!" He shouted.
He covered his mouth with his hands.

The words hit me like a truck.
He started to cry, too.
It hurt me me to see him cry, but he deserved it.
I can't believe I fell for his stupid games.

"Cassy, I..." He sobbed.
"Cassy, What?!" I interrupted him.
I turned around and started to run.
"CASSY!!!" "CASSIDY?!!" I heard different voices behind me shout.

I just kept running.
Sticks and insects hit my face when I ran, but I couldn't care less.
I didn't feel anything at that moment.

I ran and ran until I reached a cliff.

Maybe I should just end it all now.
I wanted to throw myself off that cliff right now, but something held me back.

"You deserve to get bullied!"
"Cassidy is a fucking psychopath! Stay away from her!"

The words kept playing in my head.

I thought of what the bullies in my school used to say to me.

"Ugly piece of shit!"
"You don't belong here!"
"I hope you die!"
"Go kill yourself!"

Maybe I should give them What they want.
Nobody will miss me anyway.
What is the point.
Why should I continue my life?
What do I have to lose.

I started to walk towards the cliff slowly, but surely.

"OH MY GOD, CASSY, DON'T!" I recognized the voice.
It was Ava's.
I didn't turn around.
"Why shouldn't I?!" The tears came back.

"Because you have so much to live for!" She sobbed.
"Like What?" I had almost reached the end of the cliff.
"You have us! You have your mom and you siblings! We love you!" Ava's voice was getting closer.
"Don't give up, please!" She sobbed.
I reached the end of the cliff.
I looked down at the forest.

I was about to jump, but then Ava grabbed my hand hard. She was breathing heavily.

"If you jump, I'll jump, too!" She said.
I tried to make her let go of my hand, but I couldn't, I was too weak.

"Stop, Ava!" I sobbed.
"I don't want to hurt you!" I said.
"If you jump, you hurt all of us!" She said.

I heard the others arrive.
They shouted and screamed, but I couldn't hear them.

"Let me do it!" I shouted.
She shook her head.
"It's your decicion" She said.
"But if you jump, I'll die, too."

I looked down one last time.
I had made up my mind.
