When I sat down for lunch, I saw everyone whispering with Hex, glancing up at me, and at each other. I suddenly felt odd and left out. I looked at the pink-hair girl, whats her name...? Oh yeah. "Hey Jade," I said scooching so I can sit across from her. Shes not apart of the little whispering thing.

"What are they mumbling about?" I asked lowering my voice. Jade glanced at them and leaned closer to me with a smile. "You." I tensed. "Me? Why." She scratched her noes. "Hex told them about you, singing and how you where really good. The band wants to hear you sing, because in a month, where going down to Coco beach and preform are first, little concert!! And where singing that song by Skillet, Awake and Alive. We need a girl singer. There just making, er, "band plans" I guess. And where selling tickets, in a couple days." I tried to review everything she just said. "Okay, um..." I stumbled.

"Lyric!" Hex turned around suddenly. I flinched and turned to him. "Yeees?" I held the 'e' staring at the group of friends. "Me and the gang are going to my garage for rehersal, please come and sing? I vote already that you should. But fairness, the others should vote to." I looked at them.

Graze lifts his head. "Are you stage fright?" I looked at him, "Nope." I kinda lied, I think I am. I don't know because I never been up on stage, beside school plays. But a concert? "Good, so you'll be good on stage? Do you wanna practice with us?" He asked friendly. Max squished against his girlfriend Amy, as he spoke. "Whoa, dude, we don't even know if shes a good singer yet." He commented. I could tell Graze and Max where organized with "band plans".  "Yet." Jade put in, supporting me. I smiled. After we did a lot of planning and questions, I had barely anytime to eat. The rest of the day I thought about how serious they where. They really wanted there band to be heard. This wasn't any play-fun garage band. This was a real determination.

After school, I jogged over to Hex's place. The garage door was open, and I could already see the drum set, two microphones, guitars and extra equipment. I walked in. "Hell...o? Hex?" I stopped and looked around. I heard a loud crash and things falling. I jumped and looked around. Hex ermgered from a pile of boxes, and tried catching falling tools. "Oh hey..." He grabbed somehing, that flung off his finger tips and crashed to the ground. Drum sticks rolled across the floor. "...Lyric." He looked up. I started snickering seeing him sit on one of the boxes, yarn wrapped around his shoulder. "It looks like everythings in order." I commented playfully walking towards him and taking the yarn off. He looked up and gave me a lazy smile. "Phew. Tell me 'bout it. I stayed up all night talking to Max and Graze online about the plans. The gurls went to buy some stuff, like silly string and fog machines." Hex stood up and rose above me. "Oh, Hex, why didn't chu call me? I would have done something." I said. I wish I could have helped out, I wanna be apart of this. "Oh, yeah, I just didn't want you stressing." He said smiling. I sighed and punched him shoulder lightly. "Let me help next time." I said. "Mkay." He said normally, picking up the clutter.

Max pulled up in his grey black car, with Amy. Max's eyes where dark and dangerous. Amy came out slouching like she was tired. They walked together holding hands and leaning against each other like they been wounded. I figured family troubles... and they where there for each other. I sighed quietly. I wish I had someone there for me when I felt alone. Not like a family member, like a... partner. Someone I can hold hands and lean against. Someone I can tell anything to. Where would I fine... "him" though? I looked away and saw Graze pull up in his car. Jade was sticking her head out the window  in the back seat and let her pink hair flutter freely. She smiled and squinted her blue eyes. Graze looked pretty relaxed.  Everyone got out of there cars and started greeting each other. "Sup man," Graze bumped shoulders with Hex and started talking to him. Jade and Amy started walking towards me. "So. We really didn't get to meet. Like, we don't talk." Amy annonced as she got to me. I felt awkward. "Yeah, I'mma kind of new." I smiled. "Ye. What bands do chu like?" She tilted her head up, blocking out the sun. "Um.. Well, Shinedown, Peirce The Veil, Sleeping with-" Before I could finish, Amys eyes widened slightly and cut me off. "Accepted already. I love them." Jade smiled. I noticed she kind of had a side-ways three mouth, like a kitty. I couldn't tell which band she said she loved, or all of them. I just let out a short laugh and we started laughing and talking.
