• Golden Child is the second boy group produced by Woollim Entertainment after the senior group INFINITE. (Third official group under Woollim after INFINITE and Lovelyz.)
• The boys didn't know what their group name was until it was announced by their CEO during the first filming of their first variety show, Woollim Pick.
• Golden Child (abbreviated as GNCD) is an 11 member boy group debuted in 2017, and is signed under Woollim Entertainment.

• The name is said to mean a person who exceeds in many traits, an extraordinary person. It also supposed to mean a person who is loved by everyone and very well liked.

But since Golden Child started as 11, I will not declare anything about GNCD being a 10-member boy group. I'm not in any position to do that (and I won't omit informations about Jaeseok in my book. I can't.)
