(AU, glee club never happened, but both parties knew of each other, Blaine's a jock and throwing a graduation party, smut ensues)

It was the last party of the year. All the seniors had attended their graduation ceremony the day before and Blaine Anderson's parents were throwing a huge party for their son and his graduating class at their palatial estate. It only took about five minutes for Kurt to realize that the Andersons weren't actually present for the party. They'd apparently given both their sons a large sum of cash and free rein of the house while they went to New York for the weekend.

Cooper had turned the cash into a few kegs and as much hard liquor as he could find. Kurt was pretty sure Blaine was the one who spared some change for pizza and chips and sodas for the non-drinkers. He didn't know much about the jock, but Blaine had been over to the Hummel's house enough times to visit Finn for Kurt to know that he was rather responsible for a teenage boy.

Kurt arrived at the party 45 minutes after it began, fashionably late as always, with Mercedes on one arm and Rachel on the other. They could hear the bass of the music pounding from inside the house and Kurt nearly shook from the vibrations once they crossed the threshold of the front door.

Some random senior let them in and another, Kevin if he remembered correctly, shoved red solo cups of "jungle juice" into their hands. Kurt sniffed his drink cautiously, knowing the overly fruity smell was likely hiding something dangerous, but he shrugged off his worries once he took a few sips and nothing but strawberry and grape popped off his tongue.
Mercedes suggested they walk around and see the sights before settling on a spot to spend the evening, and that was how he made his way from the kitchen to the back patio to the basketball court to the game room to the impressively large living room with a big-screen TV playing music videos against one wall and a DJ - Stuart from the A/V club - blasting music from the other. The furniture had all been pushed to the sides so that people could dance in the middle of the room. Already there was a sizable crowd undulating to the beat of the latest top 40 hits, spilling their drinks as they jumped enthusiastically to key points of each song.

It was the kind of magical night when nothing seemed to matter anymore. There were no cliques, no rivalries, no unnecessary teenage angst. It was as if none of it mattered anymore now that they would never see each other inside the halls of William McKinley High School ever again. Everyone had a blank slate... at least for one night.

Kurt smiled at friends he'd had in middle school who had faded away once they hit high school. He shared a pat on the back with his partner in science, who had barely been able write his own name on their assignments because he was always so stoned out of his mind. He accidentally bumped into two girls who were dancing nearby, his heart jumping when he realized they were Cherrios, but they just laughed and continued bouncing along to Katy Perry with no hard feelings.
So it shouldn't have come as much of a surprise when Blaine Anderson approached him through the dancers to the corner of the room where he and Mercedes were perched. But it did.

Mercedes conveniently left to get a refill on her drink - and no, it was definitely not just juice - right as the jock came upon them. Kurt glared at her retreating back, hissing "traitor" under his breath, before acknowledging the boy.

"Hey, Kurt."

"Hi."

"You enjoying the party?"

Kurt quirked an eyebrow. Why did it matter? Blaine was a nice enough guy, he supposed, but they weren't exactly friends and he couldn't understand why he was bothering to talk to him at his own party when he had about four of the hottest girls in school eyeing his backside at that very moment. "Umm, yeah," he replied dumbly.
