Where Am I?

Alex's POV:
Black.. all I see is black.. where am I? I open my eyes and I see I'm in the car with my family.
Okay, that seems normal.. but where are we, I glance at a sign and it reads 'Dundas'.
Dundas? What the fuck? There's no Dundas where I live?
"Oh Alex, you're up!! Perfect timing, we're almost home!"
My mum smiles and looks at me. I squint my eyes at her.. what does she mean
"What? Where are we?"
"Oh you forgot.. didn't you. Sorry, we're almost at our new ho-- ALEX!!"
"What mum?"
"Look outside!!" My mum practically screams and points her finger at a giant building
"Woah" Billie sighs "it's huge!!"
I know exactly what 'it' is, and where we are
"CN tower.." I mumble
"What'd you say, Alex?" My mum replies, sounding very confused
I smirk, they're so oblivious, this is a famous tower, how don't they know
"It's the CN Tower, a famous building in Toronto, which, is clearly where we are. The CN Tower is a tourist attraction too, can we go sometime? I wanna check out the glass floor"
"WHAT?!" Billie screeches "GLASS FLOOR?! MUMMY WE GOTTA GO!!!"
Mum quietly giggled "of course we can go honey, maybe tomorrow?"
"YAY" Billie starts bouncing in her seat as my mum and I laugh at her behavior
"Toronto... I almost forgot we left home..."
My mum turned around, softly sighing and she gave me a sympathetic smile
"I know, but you'll like the new house, I promise. Toronto is really great.. or so I've heard. You'll make friends easily though, it's not like New York"
"Okay"
I drop my head, staring at my jet black jeans, not trying to show the pain I knew was in my eyes. I slowly pull out my phone and open the messages app, then click on Ruby's contact
To My Fav: hey Ruby... miss you already :/
I lock my phone again and put it back..
Mum pulls the car into a drive way of what is obviously our new house.. it's so different...
She turns around to face Billie and I with a giant smile
"Alrighty kids, c'mon out, I'll order pizza for dinner tonight okay?"
Billie automatically perks up at the mention of her favourite food
"PIZZA?! YAY!!"
At least she's happy
"Yes darling, pizza. Now come on out and grab your bags and boxes, the moving truck will be here soon"
Billie scrambles out of the car and mum pops open the trunk, then climbs out. Me? I can't even handle this..
I take a deep breath in and get out of the car, slowly walking to the bag with my bag slung over my shoulder.
Lifting up two heavy boxes, I walk up onto the porch and inside the strange house.
Mum walks towards me and I hear loud footsteps running up stairs.
"Okay Alex, your room is upstairs to the left, thank you for being so understanding with the move. When you're done would you mind coming back down to help out with the wifi and tv?"
I smiled gently after and told her that I would then went up to my room. As I enter I look around, it's small but it's nice. Actually... more medium sized that small I'd say.
Setting down my two boxes, I look around and try to figure everything out.
Closet over there, I'll put my dresser beside it, bed across the room maybe?
Yeah that would work.
I open one of my boxes, revealing black and white hangers. Maybe I could use a fresh start..
Before I got to hanging stuff up I took out my phone... Ruby still hasn't answered.. odd, hmm oh yeah!!
That girl from omegle, I should add her on skype. I quickly get onto the app and find her contact, then send a request.
To iris.blaik: "Hey Iris!! It's Alex from omegle :)"
*1 hour later*
"Mum, calm down!"
The tv won't plug into the outlet and mum is getting really pissed off.
"I'M TRYING TO BUT IT'S REALLY HARD WHEN THIS FUCKING PLUG WON'T WORK"
I looked into my mother's eyes and saw a mix of emotions, she looked happy, yet sad and angry, as if she regrets the entire move.
Sighing, I walked over to her and gently took the plug, and slowly put it into the socket, then turned around and smirked at my ever so pissed off mum.
Laughing slightly I spoke up
"You just had to calm down"
"Yeah yeah whatever" she mumbled and turned around with the wave of her hand, waking into the new kitchen. I walked over to the couch and pulled out my phone, I saw a notification from skype and decided to check it, thinking it'll be Ruby.
But it wasn't, it was Iris, she accepted my contact request and texting me 'hi'
I saw she messaged me half an hour ago and started feeling bad, so I decided to reply
'Shit sorry, I was busy helping my mum set up our tv. We moves into our new house today'
With that I decided to check my other apps.
Closing skype, I went on snapchat, and saw that Ruby had sent me a picture.
I opened it and it was a picture of herself with the caption 'I miss you so so much Alex'
I then took a picture of half my face and captioned it 'miss you too Ruby Booby ;)'
Right as I shut off my phone it vibrated, sighing, I opening it again to find a skype notification from Iris
'Ah it's chill don't worry, you able to talk now?'
Half smiling I went on the app and quickly replied
'You betcha, what's up?'
Then I got a super quick reply.. she must have been waiting or something
'Meh, nothing really, just watching youtube and texting you, how about you?'
'Sitting on my couch talking to you'
'Fun shit'
Scoffing at her reply, I stood up and ran upstairs, where I could talk in peace without anyone bugging me.
Alex: 'Lol, it's really not but okay, who are you watching'
Iris: 'AmazingPhil ❤'
Alex: 'Wait?! You like Dan and Phil?!'
Iris: 'UM HELL YEAH I DO, DO YOU?!?!?!'
Alex: 'Yeah, I love em'
Iris: 'Wowza'
Alex: 'Lolzor'
Iris: 'Lol'
Iris: 'Oooo send me a picture of yourself, I wanna see what you look like'
At that I felt my heart stop, my smile drop to a frown.... fuck fuck fuck I hate pictures of myself so much.
What if she thinks I'm ugly and never talks to me again.. whatever.. I'll do it
'Okay, you better send one after though'
'Ah of course!!'
I pop up the camera mode on skype and take a quick picture of myself.
It's not the best but whatever, before I can change my mind I promptly send it and wait for a reply..
'Iris is typing...' pops on the bottom of me screen, and I anxiously squirm, waiting for my reply
'HOLY FUCK YOU'RE ATTRACTIVE AS HELL!! I mean... I love your hair and shit, you a fellow emo?"
'I guess you could say that'
'Ahhhh sweet, okay now I'll show you what I look like ^~^'
30 seconds later a picture pops up on my screen and I open it up.
Wow... she's gorgeous.. beautiful blue eyes and thick black hair, cute little button nose and her lips.. they're thin but not too thin, she's perfect.
Alex: 'you're beautiful'
Iris: 'awh I'm really not but thankss'
Alex: 'no no, you really are, don't doubt yourself'
Iris: 'okay whatever'
Suddenly I was ripped from my thoughts when my door burst open and Billie jumped at me and started screaming
"ALEX!! ALEX!! ALEX!!"
"Jeez Bill, calm down, what's up"
"Mum says we can we can go to a resturant for dinner!!!"
Laughing at my sister's childish actions and messing up her hair I ask her what resturant. However Billie didn't get a chance to answer because mum was at the doorway.
"It's called Jack Astors" her voice softly spoke
Turning to her I spoke up again "Have you checked out the reviews?"
"Of course you ask about that, yes I have and I didn't see a single bad review, it sounds like a very good restaurant"
Smiling I jump up and give my mother a hug
"Thank you mum, this transition has been very big but you've been very helpful and supportive"
"Thank you Alex, thank you to both or you for being so easy going with this move, I'm very greatful for that, anyways, let's go eat!!"
"YAY FOOD!!!" Billie screams once again and scrambles out of my bed and rushes downstairs and my mum and I watch it awe.
She's so lucky, life is so simple for her.
I walk down the stairs with my mum following and find my way to the front, putting on my black converse.
Maybe this place won't be so bad...
