There are 3 parts to college life: Academic, social, and "home" life. If you're living on campus, your dorm will be your new home base. Here's some tips to help with that.
1) This may sound obvious, but keep your space clean. It's much harder to live and work in an area that is cluttered, dusty, or messy. This includes space shared with your roommates(s). If you establish a cleaning schedule or boundaries as early as possible, things won't get out of hand later. Also, if you feel like you're the only one cleaning or putting in effort, don't be afraid to ask for help. Kind honesty is always the best policy.
