Valerie took in deep breaths as she stood at the front door of Olive's home. It was officially time, under no circumstances could she blow this.
Knock Knock
The anxiety of waiting for the mere door to open washed over Valerie. "I hope she's home..." The sun began to set and Valerie was impatient.
Creek...
"Valerie...?"
"Olive..! I...really need to talk to you."
"About?"
"Can I come inside?"
Valerie took hesitant steps inside, with cautious breaths. Olive reared herself to her room, a suitable place to have this "talk". They both settled in, sitting on either side of the bed, anxious. "There's...pills, pills for you..." Olive caught where the conversation was heading, her eyes narrowed with rage and fear. "What's it to you? Did my dad say something about it?! Did he tell you I'm fucking insane?!" Valerie was taken back by the reaction, race cars screeched through the roads of her mind and couldn't make their way onto her tongue. "No...He didn't tell me much of anything..." Olive's eyes meant to soften yet still had the shivering look of anger within.
Be careful
Although she's seen Olive outraged before, her reaction and the warning seemed to click into place, or so she thought. The terrifying thought injected a heavy dose of fear, causing a quake in her bones and a rush in her veins. Olive now stood, stiff with emotion. "You think I'm crazy don't you?" Bitter spoken words of venom, pushing a jump from Valerie with a yelp and a quiver. "H-He said...be careful..." There were now tears to compliment the fright, not yrt spilled. "Dear god Valerie, are you seriously fucking scared of me because of some souped up cocktail and a warning from my dad!"
"But...why do you need them...so....so many," She had to catch her words to keep from overflowing.
"I..." Olives temper converted to an ashamed look but all the energy residue. "I kill Valerie, is that what you really want to hear? You want a friend that's a murderer?" A tense pause with the que for Valerie to speak. Not much was made of it, a bloodshot teary-eyed face with no intention to move.
Don't hurt me
Selfish thought. A selfish thought in the mind of a girl full of mixed, terrified emotion. Unsual, though, Olive's response; a chuckle with a shaking head, confusion could have anyone in its choke hold. "Leave...LEAVE!"
"Leave?" Quiet and quivered, but managed to spit out. "Leave Valerie!" She nodded her head with too much enthusiasm as she forced her limbs to move and run; salty drops had soaked her neck and collar, no room for words.Olive stood, fists clenched and eyes low. "What have I done...?"
