I had made my way home! As I walked up our old staircase I noticed that the 7th step didn't creek like usual! maybe the Landlord fixed it!

I took a quick shower and went straight to bed. I was more worn out than I had thought!

Not even bothering to put Pajamas on, I plopped onto my stiff bed and fell into a deep sleep!

I Later awoke to a pitch black room, I wondered why it was still dark out. I managed to make my way to the light switch, but when I flicked it on nothing happened. I tried a couple more times when I came to the conclusion that the power was out.

I fumbled my way to my bedroom window and realized that I had dark blinds covering my window. 'Those didn't used to be there!' I thought.

I opened them to find more darkness.

So I thought that maybe I had slept through that night, and the fallowing day, all the way to the next night!

I dressed myself and headed downstairs for something to eat. I had gone a ong time with no food, but it didn't take till after I opened the fridge tat i realized how hungry I actually was.

I was filling my belly when someone came out from the shadows and startled me. They looked me in the eyes and said,

"You've been out for quite a while!"

It took me a moment to recognize my own mother.

Though there was something off about her, though I couldn't quite put my finger on it.

I studied her very hard for at least a minute!

The expression on her face was calm, gentle, and kind

After about 2 minutes of me staring at her face, her expression changed!

She tilted her head to left and opened her eyes wider when it hit me!

It astonished me how I hadn't seen! and I jumped back in fright! Almost knocking the seat out from under me!

I started to back away, my heart racing, 'WHAT HAD HAPPENED TO MY MOTHER!'

Her mouth Was Sown Together!! And her eyes didn't have their usual soft, bright, blue color! It was like a dark cloud had shadowed over her eyes!

HOW HAD I NOT REALIZED?!?!?
