AU-So this was a chapter that I HAD to do but didn't know HOW to do it. So I just did it the best I could. I don't see this story being any longer. By there's still a couple more chapters to go. Just hang in there.
It all went pretty smoothly. Well as smoothly as being a con-mammal could be. Nick and Finnick where doing this job for a few years. Until they hustled the wrong mammal.
The two where working the streets just randomly hustling mammals. Then he saw that there was a limo parked on the side of the road. It wasn't nothing new. Nick had seen plenty of limos in Zootopia. But this one had amazing rims. Some that someone would pay almost a thousand dollars for each rim. So the fox wanted them. It would be a lot of money for him and his momma. So, he started stripping the car. Just then a polar bear came out of the car and saw the fox stealing his tires. Had Nick been smart he would've explained what was going on.
But the fox was not that smart. He tried to make a run for it but he was quickly caught by the polar bear. Then a punch came..and it all went black.

"Wake up."
The voice that woke him up was small but deep. And the fox was correct. In front of him there were two shrews. An older female, and a younger male.
Then Nick noticed that he was tied up and a polar bear had him by the back of the shirt.
Let's just say the fox panicked.
"OH MY GOD! Please don't kill me. I'm so sorry about the car. I needed the money, but I now see that it wasn't worth it. Please I'll make it up to you just spare me!"
The younger male shrew was ready to throw him in the icy water below. It the older female saw something in him. She stepped closer and looked into his eyes. She saw the fear, worry, and sorriness. This wasn't a bad fox and she knew it. It was just wrong place at wrong time.
"Put him up, Ramen!" Yelled the female shrew.
"Grandmama. He tried to steal from us!" Argued the younger shrew.
"And he apologized. I believe he deserves a second chance," exclaimed the older female shrew.
"Yes ma'am."
"Good. Now would you like a Connolly..what is you name?"
"Wilde. Nick Wilde," responded the recovering fox.
"Well, Nicky. Welcome to our family," the old shrew said.
"Are you serious?!?"
"Yes. I am. But I do need you to do one thing from me."
"Yes ma'am. Anything!"
"I want you to help us trust you."
"Is that it ma'am?"
"Yes it is!"
"Then it's a deal," Nick said kissing the older shrews hand. Then her grandsons.
It was official. Nick had a family. With the biggest crime bosses in Zootopia.
What the hell was he doing with his life.
###
Of course working for Mr. Big made him stay away from home often, but Nick still gave money to his mom. He would stop by their house and put a couple hundred dollars in the mailbox for her to get.
Nick was now making close to a thousand dollars a day. And he was happy. But not fully. Sure he had money, respect, and everything else someone could want. But what was doing. All he's done is make everyone's opinion about foxes true. He was a lying, cheating, crook. No one would trust him. But then again even if he was the priest no one would trust him. Why? Because he's a fox. And that can't change.
Mr. Big noticed these moment where Nick was lost in thought and he and his mother tried hard to help him. He wasn't upset. He was just..in thought. And that might have been worse.
"Why don't you ever want to talk about your feelings, Nicky?" Mr. Big asked one day.
"Because I swore many years ago that I wasn't going to let anyone see that they got to me. So if the city doesn't care about my feeling, there is no way to change their mind. Therefore, I might as well live with it," Nick responded. The shrew wasn't happy with his thoughts but respected them either way.
Then the day came.
Nick had been with Mr. Big and his grandmama for a few years and things where normal. Until one day the older shrew died. Mr. Bigs grandmama died in her sleep and all Mr. Big wanted Nick to do was make a rug for her to be buried with. Nick agreed the old shrew had treated him like family. But there was one problem. No one would sell him a rug. Not even a rug all because he was a fox.
So Nick had to take desperate measures. He found a guy who would a sell a rug to him. Only problem was that is was a 'Skunk Butt Rug'. Nick felt bad for this but had to hurry. So he bought it. And the old shrew was buried with that rug.
The sly fox didn't think Mr. Big would find out. But with the luck Nick had the shrew found out.
Nick was walking home from Mr. Bigs place one night and his wallet fell. And a receipt fell out of his wallet as well. And Mr. Big made the mistake of the reading the receipt that mention the rug his grandmama was buried with. And it made the old shrew mad.
He wanted so bad to ice him. But couldn't. The fox, for some reason, Kent a lot to Nick. So when Mr. Big saw Nick the next day this is what he said.
"Nicky. I am very disappointed in you," the shrew told him after showing the receipt.
"I am sorry Mr. Big."
"I know you are. You disrespected my Grandmama. She loved you like a son. Treated you like family. You where family. Then you go and do this. You don't know how badly I want these guys to ice you. But I am a merciful shrew. I'm going to let you go. But if I ever see your face ever again I will ice you. Down in the cold water below this desk. Now. Get. Out."
Nick was gone fast. He knew the shrew didn't play. So now Nick was back to having no one but Finnick and his mom. But that was ok. Because that's all he had most of his. What difference did it make.AN-Yeah......So......Definatly not my best but....Yeah......
Till Next Time...
