AU-Alright this is my first FanFiction so don't be too hard on me. So I wanted to make this story because Nick Wilde has became my favorite Disney character of all time. And it is because of his backstory. Through everything he had to go through just for being a fox he still found reason to live his life..somewhat. Anyway I hope y'all like this and if there's any suggestions or questions you have just tell me in comments.
Enjoy.

   *AFTER INCIDENT WITH RANGER SCOUTS*
Young Nick Wilde sat on the sidewalk beside the building where he was muzzled for no reason. Looking at the metal clamp on the ground he wondered why no one would give him a chance. Why was it that, all because he was a fox, he couldn't be trusted.
As the young fox cried on the sidewalk he too much in thought to notice the car that pulled up beside him. And then paws wrapped around him causing Nick to jump and turn around. It was his mom. She saw how he looked and knew what had happened. She thought it would but prayed she was wrong.
But now her son. Her little kit. Was crying. He now knew the truth of how mammals treated foxes, and it broke the old vixens heart to see him like that. So she did all she could think to do for her little man. She took his hand and led him to the car where they went home.
And Nick Wilde learned two things that night.
   1) He wasn't going to let anyone see that they got to him.
   2) If the world was only going to see a fox as shifty and untrustworthy there was no sense in trying to be anything else.
Those were the two things he lived with his whole life. Especially the first one. In the 9 years he had lived he had already been hurt so much. Not only the Ranger Scouts. But also his dad who walked out on him and his mom when he was only 5. Also he and his mother where poor. They had just enough to get by. But JUST enough.
Maybe that's why the young fox took it upon himself to try and help his mom pay for what they needed. It's not like anyone trusted foxes anyway...what difference would it make.

AN-So yeah. I tried to make it fit with what the movie said and try to put my own twist in there. I know it was a little too much to comprehend but trust me the next chapter will be different.
Till Next Time...
