Audition

Y/N P.O.V.

It's been weeks since I confessed and I haven't heard anything from him. *sigh*

"Y/N, stop thinking about it." Mia said while cleaning her new glasses using the end of her skirt.

"Okay I wasn't expecting anything but I can't help but worry. I'm so embarassed now." I said.

"Don't be, you could still be the future Mrs. Jeon Jungkook," Eunbi said and giggled. Mia nodded and started nudging my sides.

"Stop guys," I pouted, "someone could hear us and it's not even true." We were on our way to the cafeteria to buy drinks and there were a bunch of people hanging out in the quad on the way there.

"There's a fight in the basketball courts!" I heard a boy scream from one side and all of a sudden a hoard of students started rushing against us.

"Oh sh-" Eunbi said while trying to drag us next to the wall of the hallway but lucky me got pulled a little too late and two girls bumped into me making me land on my butt.

"Seriously, it's like they've never seen a fight before." I whined while trying to caress my butt.

"Are you okay?" I heard a male voice ask me.

"Ask my butt that," I said sarcastically. I then heard a chuckle so I looked up and couldn't believe who I saw.

OMG DID I REALLY JUST SAY THAT TO JEON JUNGKOOK

"Oh, uhm sorry, yeah I'm fine," I said slowly, stuttering and probably red as a tomato.

"C'mon, let's get you off the ground," he held out his hand and I clumsily took it.

I can't believe we're holding hands what is life

"Thanks," I said while giving a sheepish smile. Shit, I probably look so weird right now.

"No problem," he said, "see you around," and then he gave me a small smile. I just waved back, still dazed.

I then turned around and whisper screamed, "Did that just happen!?"

Mia and Eunbi looked at me and then at him and then at me. They both nodded and started squealing.

"Girl, what'd I tell you!!" Eunbi practically screamed.

"Shut up! You're so loud," I said and I felt getting red again.

"So, when's the wedding?" Mia smirked.

I just rolled my eyes at her and didn't want to think more of our small interaction that made my heart pound like crazy.

~after school~

"Ready for auditions?" Mia asked me while I pack up my stuff after class.

"Ha, not really," I said in a low voice.

"You've improved so much Y/N, don't worry you'll do fine," Eunbi smiled.

"I'll try," I replied with a nervous smile. We all walked together to the auditorium while I practice my song silently.

Anyone in drama club gets a role for the play but you have to audition for the main roles. I wanted to try out for Rapunzel since Tangled is one of my favorite movies ever.

I just hope I dont crack my voice while singing.

~after auditions~

"Ok sugarplums, I will be calling out the actors for our main roles," Ms. Lee said.

"Mother Grothel - Kim Seongyeon

Flynn Rider - Jeon Jungkook with understudy Park Jimin

Rapunzel - Park Mina with understudy YL/N, F/N

The list of the other cast members will be posted tomorrow. Congratulations and rehearsal starts next week," she ended with a smile.

Woah, understudy. That's something right!? And what, I didn't even see Jungkook or Jimin audition?

Mia and Eunbi were waiting for me at the auditorium seats with big smiles until I got down from the stage.

"Can you believe it!? You got understudy!" Mia said.

"I know! You're one step closer to being a main lead," Eunbi said.

"Yeah, I don't know if I'm ready for a main lead yet but I'm excited," I said with an axious smile.

"Wait guys, how did Jungkook and Jimin get the role when they weren't even here today?" I asked them.

"Were you even paying attention? No other guys auditioned for the role," Eunbi explained.

"Oh, I guess I was too nervous to notice anyone else around me hehe," I said while rubbing my head.

"C'mon let's celebrate and get boba. My treat," Mia said while linking her arms with us and we happily strolled outside.
