After I finished my drink and fries, which was rather quick I might add, I eat so much, you would think I was the fat guy that says 'bring me a bucket!' in Monty python. Anyways, I look around and I wonder if anyone knows any great walking trails. I love to hiking and walk around paths and such.
Maybe the bartender knows. I think to myself as I wave him over.
"What can I do for you, beautiful?"
I squirm a little at what he calls me- wait. Why. He's cute and being kind. I think to myself. I mentally face palm myself at my ridiculous behavior, and ask
"I was wondering if there are any good walking trails around here?"
I thought I saw a evil smirk but it was gone before I could fully notice,
"Yeah there is one," he responds with a smile, "it's the Petworth house foot path, it's open 24/7 and some say if you walk far enough, you can see the whole estate."
"Has no one been in there?" I ask curiously,
"Lass no one has ever been in that damned house for centuries, only the lord and special guests of the lord stay there." "Wait, lord? You mean like a real lord? That's cool!" I respond,
I didn't know lords had any claim over places anymore, how fun! I think to myself.
"Cool? Ha the guy is a prick if you ask me, we've only see him once a year for a nature charity fundraiser ball, to help save animals, but that's it, no contact, nothing it's like he thinks he's better than us so he doesn't interact with the town. And you know what else, weird shit happens there." He says with a salty tone
"What do you mean weird shit?" I say confused and hoping he will elaborate more. He looks around and leans in and leaving me doing the same, and he says,
"Some people say, that there are wolves at that place. They say that you can hear howling in the night, and those who are brave enough to go out on he path at night, say they see pair of glowing emerald green eyes..." his Erie response send shivers down my spine as I brush it off and say,
"Ya know, maybe he just has a really big dog."
The bartender looks at me with a confused expression, then starts laughing.
"Hahahaha ooo whatever you say lass, say you should go up to the path today it's such a nice day, go and enjoy it!" He says as he takes my dishes away.
A walk does sound amazing right now,
"I think I just might! Thank you for the food! And have a good afternoon!" And I left to go explore this fateful path.
I never did believe in magic and fairies and all that shit. It just, didn't make sense to me. So I wasn't worried about the path at all.

When I reached the path after getting lost a few times, the path seems to start going up a hill, which didn't bother me as there were lots of people there enjoying the day and walking their dogs, side note. I love dogs so this path is basically a pathway to heaven. As I walked up the path on my right was a huge field and rolling hills of green, it looked like a postcard! The blue sky filled with fluffy clouds made it even more beautiful and to my left huge trees that touch the sky were sprouting out of the ground, trees of green and look like the perfect trees for a tree house, as I continued walking on the hilly path of perfection, I saw that the path split up ahead, and by the looks of it you could go, right, towards the rolling hills and such, which seems like the more popular option cause I saw so many people and animals walking along that way, or left toward the forest of green, and not many people seemed to go that way.

Since i might be a little stupid and I love an adventure, I decided to go down the shaded forest path, and it was absolutely beautiful, I look up and could see the sunbeams poking through the tree branches and leaving a warm feeling on my face, it was like a movie, Why don't more people come this way? It's brilliant. I could definitely could smoke some weed out here with my friends and watch the world go by.

I walked for what seemed like forever, and it was starting to get dark and I could only make out the outlines of trees as darkness crept upon the land
"I better head back before it gets too dark." I say turning around, but I come to a screeching halt when only a few feet in front of me stands an outline of a person.
Ok not creepy at all... I think to myself. As I say, "who's there?"
