Brianna's POV
"We're finally here. It took us like...two days or something, I don't know, but we made it!" I say.
"Bri, when you said that we would be going to your friend's house, we thought it would be closer, and wouldn't take us TWO DAYS to get to!" Gem yells, and rubs her tired eyes. Everyone nods.
"Well, I never said that she was close, I just said I knew someone who could help us. And I said that you guys know her too." I retort, and I knock on the door. It opens, and a girl steps out.
"Hey, it's been a while Bri. How have you been?" She greets.
"Yeah I know, but right now we're in trouble Sky." I respond.
"THIS is Sky?!" My friends start to spout out similar claims.
"Oh yeah, you guys haven't seen her in...what has it been, five years? Anyway, guys, meet Sky. She's grown up a lot, as you can see. We see each other frequently, mainly because I need somewhere to stay while I'm running away, heheh." I say with a grin.
"Well, come on in guys!" Sky gestures to the open door, and one by one we enter her home.
"Wow! Your house looks so small, but once you come inside, it's HUGE!" Lee exclaims in awe.
"Yeah, no kidding." Anna says.
Gem looks amazed. She starts mumbling random words, like 'Tardis' and 'The Doctor' and the rest I can't hear.
"Anyway, Sky, we need your help. The magic counsel is after us again, and I'm pretty sure they figured out who we are," I stop and turn to my friends. "You still remember who you all are, right? Our tat--err, our marks--should be an example." I question, and everyone nods.
"I'm your leader, remember, so NOBODY question me!" I say in a playful voice. Everyone laughs a little, and I smile.
"Well w-" Sky starts to say, but is cut off by her door flying inwards.
"Girls, come out of that house this instant! You're all going to jail for what you've done." A deep voice demands. We all look at each other, then turn around, only to see a man with a large group of people who look ready to fight.
"Are you guys sure you wanna fight me and my friends? I'm guessing you know who we are. You think that a tall man and a few people are gonna scare us, not to mention take us down?" I say, a cold expression on my face.
"If you wanna take us, you'd better try hard, cause we ain't goin down without a fight." I finish, and look at my friends. I start to take my jacket off, and they all do the same.
The guys look at us in horror. "We know who you are, you don't need to show us your marks! We don't want to know who your leader is so pl--oh god, no no NO!" The man I assume is their leader screams.
In one swipe, Sky takes out half of the assembled group. Lee and Shelby go in as well, taking out the rest. I simply walk up to the man, look him in the eye, and whisper, "Run." He looks at me, then glances at the rest of my friends with wide eyes. He turns and dashes for his life.
Out of the corner of my eye, I see Gem wave her hand. Water crashes down on the man, and he collapses to the ground.
Sky's POV
"Well, I think we went a tiny bit overboard." Delaney giggles. We all look at each other with a smile, and start laughing.
"We should probably get rid of the bodies, Bri." I say and she nods.
Fire appears on the men, burning them to ashes. Water swirls from fingertips, dousing the flames and washing the ashes away. I swipe my hand. The door reattaches itself to the wall, and slams shut.
"Looks like we still got it!" Anna winks, and we all laugh like those men never appeared on my doorstep.
ALRIGHT GUYS THAT'S IT FOR THIS CHAPTER. I ACTUALLY DID THIS CHAP AT SCHOOL! :) ANYWAY
