Anna's POV, after Bri switched places with the girls
"I'm glad Bri switched with us, that boy was fast. At least this lady is slower than him, but I'm surprised she's keeping up with us. Aren't you, Shelby?" I ramble. Shelby nods as our phones indicate that we had gotten a text.I fumble to pull out my phone, and it's a text from Gem that reads, "Guys, let's meet at Times Square. If you're in the shopping mall, try and lose your pursuers in a store. Delaney and I have ditched the guy that was after us, and we're fine. See you girls there!'
"Hey, what about Game Stop? Not all women are familiar with that place, and they didn't have any game consoles in that place we were tied up in." Shelby suggests.
"Sure! Let's go, I know where that one is." I say in reply, and begin weaving my way through pedestrians in the shopping center.
Shelby and I speed to the video game store, run in, and swerve haphazardly through the aisles. We look behind us, and Shelby cheers, "We lost her!"
I laugh triumphantly as we run back out, seeing Gem and Ellie dashing out of Victoria's Secret. They must've had the man that captured us following them. We all meet up, take a breath, and start towards NYC's most famous landmark.
"Where's Bri?" Gem asks, her tone full of worry.
"I dont know, Shelby and I saw her, and she switched places with us. She had that teen boy, he's pretty fast, but knowing Bri she probably juked him somewhere along the way. Actually, she's most likely already at Times Square!" I reply. Gem laughs her agreement, and we continue on our way.
Soon, we all get to our designated meeting location, and look around to see that a certain someone isn't present. "Guys...where's Bri? I thought for sure she'd be here!" I exclaim, and everyone shrugs their shoulders. I bite my lip in worry, and hope that she's all right.
Brianna's POV
I have to get to Times Square, they're probably worried about me, but this guy isn't showing any signs of being left in the dust. I got it! There's a fountain over there, so if I run towards it fast enough, I can stand by it on my phone. Maybe he'll think that I lost him, and keep running. All I have to do is move my leg in his path, tripping him so he lands in the fountain! That'll give me time to run. I think.I dart over to the fountain and stand there, pretending to check my phone. I see him coming and casually stick my foot out. I move out of the way as he starts to wobble, and push him to knock him into the fountain. I immediately start running towards Times Square with a laugh.
*TIME SKIP*
I see the girls standing near a pretzel stand, looking worried. "Hey guys, I made it. Sorry it took me so long, I couldn't shake that guy, no matter what store I went into. I was finally able to trip him into a fountain and escape!" I say casually. The girls turn towards me with relieved looks on their faces.
"You had us worried sick, Bri! Don't do that ever again!" Gem yells in a disciplinary tone. I can hear the worry that she's trying to hide, and I smirk.
"Bri, I agree with Gem, but we're all glad you're ok. If you hadn't switched people with me and Anna then we would have been caught." Shelby said with a smile.
Anna chips in, "And if you hadn't shown up in...one more minute, we were all gonna go back to the mall and look for you.""Yeah, yeah. We're glad you're ok Bri, now let's go home. I'm starving!" Delaney complains, and rubs her stomach. We all do the same, our hunger coming to the forefront of our minds as we stopped worrying about being taken.
"Alright then, let's go ladies!" Shelby says, and we all start walking home, laughing and chatting about whatever comes to mind.
Alright guys
