"And oh my god babe! You wouldn't believe it!" Your boyfriend exclaimed. "One of guys in the team jumped up and caught the ball with one hand! And when he landed he flew towards his goal. No one could stop him and he made it in. Touchdown! The whole 50 yards too!"

You slowly cringed as you glanced around the dimly lit room. Everyone had their attention on you, and you hadn't even ordered yet. Ladies in their fancy long dresses and men in their fitted tuxes all glared at you and your boyfriend. You bowed your head in shame, knowing it was only going to get worse.

Sadly, you could just walk out. It was a dinner for your one year anniversary. Your boyfriend, Tom, suggested you would go to a fancy restaurant and have a great night. It sounded great at first, until he took a few sips of whiskey to feel more "loose". He felt so loose that you had to drive here.

Now he's sitting across from you, practically shit faced and screaming about some sport that you couldn't care less about.

"Wow," you said with your head still bowed. "Tom, could you calm down a bit. You are disturbing everyone," you said in a whisper.

"Disturbing who? Ya mean these rich assholes! They'll get over it." Your head shot up at his response, your eyes wide and jaw dropped down to the floor. Did he really just say that!?

"Tom! You can't say that! Your so rude!" You slightly yell at him. You glance around the room now to find faces full of anger. Your face burned with embarrassment. You mouthed "sorry" to a few of the other people but they all rolled their eyes. You let out a defeated huff as a waitress walked up.

"Ma'am is everything okay?" She asked. You went to speak up and explain but Tom interrupted you.
"Nope. We are fine. Thank you very much." He said as he sat up straighter in his chair. He straightened his tie and laid both hands on the table.

"If there's anything I can do to help-" the waitress started towards you but your boyfriend stopped her.

"We are fine." He stated in a much more stern tone. The lady's lips formed a straight line and she nodded, leaving you two alone again.

"I've got to go to the bathroom," you said with irritation as you got up from the table. You held onto your dress and and sped towards the bathroom. You hoped that this would show everyone that you weren't happy in your situation.

As you were stuck in your thoughts you didn't realize that there was a waiter about to turn the corner. You both collided, his tray full of food almost toppling into the floor. "Oh, I'm sorry miss," he said. His voice was smooth and deep.

"Oh no I'm sorry. I wasn't watching where I was going," you quickly stammered out. You looked up at the tall figure to find a gorgeous man. His chiseled jaw was covered in salt and pepper scruff, his cheek bones were defined just enough and his eyes were a beautiful combination of brown and green. You inwardly gasped at the sight. You were in awe at the sight of this man. Snap out of it!

"Are you sure," he said while lightly taking grasp of your forearm. His hand felt rough but his touch was soft and caring. His red dress shirt brushed against your bare side, creating a shiver that went down your spine.

"Uh yeah. Yeah sorry," you said while shaking your head. You backed away, your eyes still on him as you turned the corner. Only his eyes were trained on you until you got to the door.

"Get it together," you said as you walked into the restroom. You planted both hands on the counter and looked at yourself in the mirror. You looked fucking awesome tonight. Your hair was down in beautiful, shining waves. Your dress was black with red accents that created a perfect contrast. And it fit just right as well. Oh, who could forget about how well you did your makeup. Not too much but just enough to make your eyes pop.

Too bad your boyfriend was being an ass, again. Tonight would've been perfect, just like all the other nights. He did this so much, you began to wonder why you dealt with it. Tom always felt the need to have a little buzz going before he went out for the night. Even to a bar, he would drink before.

But I'm sure Mr. Hottie-Waiter-Guy doesn't do that. You couldn't help but wonder if he was single. Did he have a ring on? Sadly, you couldn't remember seeing his hands. All you could remember was his gorgeous face that would be delightful to- stop. You have a boyfriend. Now go out there and make him realize that he shouldn't act this way.

You take one small huff and headed out the door. You walked back to your table, ignoring the stares. You sat down in your seat and Tom was now on his phone, watching a football game. You felt the anger surge through your body again. "Really? Really?" You asked him in disappointed and irritated tone.

"Yeah! There's a new game on tonight. I can't miss it. Whoever wins this round is going to the Super Bowl!" Tom didn't glance up from his phone at all. His eyes were glued to the tiny people that were displayed on the screen.

"You can watch the game when you get home Tom!" You said in a hushed whisper.

"That's what I'm doing," said a man behind you. You recognized that voice immediately. You looked up and to your delight it was him, the super hot waiter guy. "Hi, I'm Jeffrey and I'll be your waiter today."

{hello! So I got this idea one day and decided to give it a try. I'm not sure how it's gonna work out but let's see. If you liked it so far please comment/vote and let me know. Thanks! }
