Chapter 11

The next day when they both had a break from filming Paul drove them to the doctor’s office. Torrey admitted that she was feeling better but Paul suggested that they go anyway since they already made the appointment.

She looked around in the bright room eyeing the posters on the wall and all the utensils hanging in the corner of the room.

"Hello Torrey, Paul" Dr. Bowman greeted walking in the room. She watched as he rolled his chair over to her, "So what seems to be the problem here?" He asked no one specific.

"She's been feeling really tired lately, yesterday she felt hot and I was told that she threw up yesterday afternoon." Torrey looked away avoiding his eyes. She didn't tell him about the incident that afternoon not wanting him to worry so she was wondering who did.

Dr. Bowman smiled already suspecting what was going on, "Alright, Torrey when was your last period?"

"Maybe a month ago...?" Torrey thought.

"Alright well I'm going to send you guys to another room then I'll have my wife check you out."

Paul and Torrey exchanged looks and Dr. Bowman led then out of the room taking them to his wife. She wasn't in the room when they arrived so they had to wait for her to return.

Paul's leg was bouncing up and down rapidly and Torrey placed a hand on his knee to calm his nerves. She offered him a smile and when she was going to tell him that everything was going to be okay, but the doctor walked in.

"Hi Paul and Torrey, I'm Cassandra and my husband informs me that you might be pregnant."

"I– I what?"

Cassandra smiled and asked Torrey to lay back and lift up her shirt. She flinched as the cold gel was poured in her stomach and Paul reached for her hand as the doctor was searching for the baby. Tears escaped their eyes as they watched the screen and they saw the outline of the baby.

"Congratulations, it looks like you will be parents soon!"

They both were dumbfounded as they stared at their baby on the screen. Paul ran his fingers through his hair still not believing the news and Torrey and Cassandra laughed as he stood up and shouted 'yes' smiling wide pumping a fist in the air. He leaned down and kissed her with so much passion and Cassandra couldn't be more happy for them.

Paul and Torrey lay on their bed staring at the ultrasound picture, staring at their baby with smiles as wide as Texas on their faces. They found out that when they had their moment at Candice's wedding, they actually conceived a child. Both of them were relieved that it wasn't Carlos', but Paul would've still loved the baby like it was his own. She smiled when Paul lifted up her shirt and laid his head softly on her stomach wanting to be as close to the baby as possible.

"Hey baby, it's daddy" he kissed her stomach and gently ran his hands along her skin. "I'm gonna love you so much, I already do love you even if you can't hear me yet." A tear escaped her eye and she weaved her fingers between Paul's. He wiped her tears away and kissed her. When he pulled away they stared into each other's eyes and they decided that they didn't want to wait any longer.

He kissed her again but this time he slid his hands under her shirt pulling it up over her head. Torrey followed his motion and soon they were both shirtless.

They lay face to face under the covers of their bed with one of Paul’s hands around her waist and the other on her stomach. All his life he couldn't wait to be a father and now he's with the love of his life and his wish is coming true. He knew now that he had to tell the cast and crew about him and Torrey and he didn't care what they would think because he's happy and he's going to be a father.

He wanted to stay cuddled up with Torrey all day and she felt the same way, but they had jobs to do. Torrey was going to tell the producer and Paul was going to tell...well, everyone. He wasn't going to tell them about her pregnancy yet, they felt that it was best of they waited until she was at least six months along that way they knew that the odds of something bad happening to the baby will be less than likely.

News around the TVD set spreads fast, first he told the girls (Kat, Candice, and Nina) then they boys, (Ian [who pretended to act surprised], Steven, and Michael) then he told Julie and let the news spread on its own. He was happy to see that they were happy for them and he couldn't wait to see the look on their faces when he tells them about the pregnancy.

Things were looking up for them and he couldn’t be more happier.
