Chapter 1: Meeting You

Austin POV-

I grabbed my history book and slammed the locker door shut. Rushing to get to class, I wasn't paying attention to where I was going and tripped over some little sophomore's foot, falling, practically falling right on top of you.

I muttered a simple "My bad, thanks for breaking my fall, dude." And chuckled, looking up. I hadn't seen you before, but you had these cute brown eyes and a face-full of freckles. Your long ginger hair is what I recognised, though. Alan Ashby. The guitarist for one of those shitty local boy-bands.

"Don't worry about it." Alan stammered, flashing me a grin. The way his skin wrinkled around his eyes when he smiled was absolutely adorable. That smile was so damn believable, the kind of smile that you could see and feel like a complete stranger is someone who you've known your whole life.

Alan POV-

"Don't worry about it." I managed to choke out. Austin Carlile. Probably the most popular guy in the junior class. He was extremely sexy, in a badass way. He had a tattoo that had his mom's name on it. She died last year. He was held back, I only know that because he's 18 but still a junior. I, on the other hand, am just some stupid little sophomore who he'll probably never acknowledge again.

"Alan, is it?" Austin asked. How does he know my name? Oh God. I felt my palms sweating. Why was I so nervous?

"Um... yeah, that's my name. And you're Austin." I said. Why are you being so uncool about this, Alan.

"Well Alan, you seem pretty cool. You're in that one band, right? What's the name, again? Oh I got it, Like Lightening, isn't it?" I nod. He's heard of the band? That's so exciting. "I've got to get to class, but I'll see you around, alright?"

"Yeah, see you around." I said, basically pissing myself with excitement.
