Finn's POV
When I woke up, the room was still dark. What time is it? I lazily looked at the alarm clock. 2:25 AM. "Damn." I whispered. Why was I up this early especially with the wild night I just had? Yeah, last night was wild and amazing. Morgan is just so talented. Morgan...Her name just rolls off the tongue.... I looked over at Jack's sleeping figure. I guess I won't be able to talk to him to get back to sleep. Well, I probably won't be able to get back to sleep for a while. I slipped out of my bed, careful to not wake Jack up. I'll have to think of a prank to wake him up in the morning.
I made my way down stairs to get a midnight snack when I heard the faint sound of a guitar against the still pouring rain. I moved closer to the living room window to see none other than Morgan, curled up with her guitar on one of the wicker chairs out on the porch. A big bag of chips sat on the side table next to her. I carefully opened the front door and sat down in the chair next to the side table. She looked over at me, a smile creeping to her face. "Couldn't sleep, huh?" she asked, sticking a hand in the chip bag, pulling one out to eat. "Yeah." I said, stick a hand into the bag after her. "Me either." She said, beginning to play random notes once again. I watched with her as the rain poured. "The rain is much pretty here than in London. It's just dreary back at home." I said, taking in the beauty of everything around me: the rain, the farm, Morgan. Whoever she's dating is so lucky. I then paused. I hadn't thought about Morgan having a boyfriend. If she did, I don't know how I could live through this summer knowing that I couldn't have her. Her and her talents and her gorgeous hazel eyes and her lovable smile...... "It's almost like that kissing scene in The Notebook. I'm sorry, but I would get cold extra quick." Morgan said, pushing me out of my thoughts with her gorgeous voice... "Hum? I don't know. I've never kissed a girl in the rain before. I feel like I would enjoy it." I said. "So......Is there a girl back in London waiting for you to kiss her in the rain?" Morgan asked. "Oh no. I broke up with my last girlfriend about a year ago. I just haven't found the right one yet, you know." I answered her. "What about you? Do you have a guy that wishes you would get off your farm every once in a while?" I asked her, making her softly giggle. "Nope. Never have." Morgan said so easily. "What?" I asked, astonished that she doesn't have a boyfriend. "I've never had a boyfriend before. Never been on a date. I haven't even had my first kiss yet." She said. "No way." I said. I couldn't believe it. "Yeah. I'm a loner." Morgan said, watching the rain again. "That can't be possible. You're gorgeous! How have you not had your first kiss yet?" I asked, still surprised. "Because no one likes me. It's just something I have come to accept." She said. That's it. I'm doing it. I quickly got up from my seat. "Where are you going?" Morgan asked, confused at my sudden movement. "Somewhere fun. And you're going with me." I said, gently taking her guitar from her hands and putting it in my chair. "Finn..." Morgan said, still confused. I took her hands in mine, pulling her up from her seat. "It'll be fun, I promise." I said, leading her to the edge of the porch. I let go of one of her hands and reached my hand out to feel the cold rain. "No sir, uh uh. Nope. I'm not going in the rain." Morgan said, shrinking away from the edge. "Oh come on. Have you never played in the rain? It'll be fun. Please?" I urged her, turning my puppy dog face on. Morgan studied my face for a little bit, her sight getting softer under mine. "Fine. But I'm blaming you if I get sick in the morning." Morgan gave in. "In which I'll make you Mum's special chicken soup she would make for us after we played in the rain." I said, pulling her closer to me.
I then ran with her out into the rain, making her shriek in surprise. We began to run around, laughing in the rain. It was a vulnerable enjoyment as we got wet. "Finn! It's cold!" Morgan shouted over the rain. I then took her hands in mine, pulling her into me, warming her body with mine. We looked into each other's eyes in the silence between us, the rain still pouring around us. "Can I kill two birds with one stone?" I asked her, a soft smile coming to her face. "If it's the same birds I'm thinking of, then yes you can do that." She said, making my face light up. I slipped a hand to her neck, rubbing her cheek with my thumb. I leaned down until our noses touched, making me smile even more. In the rain, I pressed my lips to hers, fulfilling everything. This kiss was like none I have ever had. The level of electricity between us was through the roof. It was love, I just knew it. I just wonder how Morgan felt. At this point, Morgan's hands pressed up against my chest, softly gripping my wet t-shirt. Just then, a strike of lightening and a clap of thunder made Morgan jump, forcing us to break the kiss. I softly laughed at her action. "Don't laugh at me!" Morgan said, laughing as well. "I'm sorry. It was cute." I said, laughing some more. We laughed a little more, then fell to silence, the rain falling around us. I had to tell her.
"Morgan..." I began. "Yes Finn?" she asked. "I...I think I'm falling in love with you." I finished my thought. "Really?" Morgan asked softly. "Yeah. Everything about you is amazing. Your strength, your loyalty, your personality, your beauty, your voice. Everything is just so special about you. And I know that we've only known each other for a few days, but I can't overlook this feeling. I just hope that by the end of the summer, we can be more than just house mates." I ended the spill of my emotions. Morgan showed a bright blush at my little speech. Hopefully I didn't ruin my chances with her. "I..I'd like that." She said, surprising me. "Wait, what did you say?" I asked, making sure I had heard her correctly. "I said I would like that. I like you, Finn. Like, a lot. I want to see where this summer takes us." Morgan said. "Oh wow. Ok." I said, my heart fluttering.
"Finn! Morgan! You two get inside before you catch a cold!" we heard Mrs. Jenny say from the porch. "Yes ma'am." Morgan said, embarrassed. "Come on." I said, tucking a piece of wet hair behind her ear. Hand in hand, we walked back to the house. After grabbing Morgan's guitar and the bag of chips, we followed Mrs. Jenny back inside. "Go on. Get some rest. Hang your wet clothes in the bathroom." She said, taking the chips and Morgan's guitar from us, and kissing Morgan's forehead. Morgan and I climbed the stairs wet, tired, but happy. As we reached the top, I pulled her into a hug. "Goodnight, Morgan." I whispered, kissing the top of her head. "Goodnight, Finn." Morgan whispered into my chest. We parted our ways and went into our rooms. After changing out of my wet clothes, I crashed onto my bed, careful to not wake up the still sleeping Jack. God, he misses everything. As my head hit the pillow, I fell asleep, thinking about the rain, the kiss, and Morgan.
