"God. How long has it been!" Christina asked a little to impatiently. She brushed her hair back gracefully before waving Mia's hand away from her shoulder irritatingly.

Ryan was leaning against the wall with his head down and arms tightly crossed, his focus and eyes unwavering from ground. He seemed lost in his own world where be blamed himself alone for her condition.

His crisp coat had rows of wrinkles running down in lines and his once perfectly white shirt now stained with drops of blood. I give his shoulder a tight squeeze while showing a tight smile when he looked up. He didn't return it but instead looked questioningly at me.

I couldn't find any words I wanted to share or either comfort Ryan with, unaware of how he might take them. My smile loosened and I drop it completely after a moment.

His head dropped along with mine, our words both too consumed with grief to even exchange.

"Christina," Mia said, "It's been 5 minutes only since the doctor arrived and that doors been closed."

"So?" She asked. "It's been 5 minutes of pin drop silence and I don't handle silence well, you know that."

Mia rolled her eyes tiredly, while Zayn tighten his arm from around her waist to pull her back. She fumbled back into his chest but that didn't alarm Zayn even the slightest. He rested his chin in the crook of her neck where her shoulder met the end of her neck, inhaling deeply.

Mia caught on and caressed his cheek with one hand while the other wrapped his hand from around her waist. Seeing them like this, I knew Ryan was probably feeling worse without his Mate around him but I couldn't blame Zayn either.

Christina was attacked upon already and now was Angel. Even if the first one was an attack and this an accident, the damage was almost equal. Mia was left the only one unharmed. I didn't know to categorize that as good or not. I was praying for first.

Xavier was lost, leaving everyone but himself present in the hallway to Angel and Ryan's room.

I was about to ask about his whereabouts when the door sung open. Dr.O'Brien appeared ruffling his hair while his pearly eyes shone with delight especially after eyeing Ryan leaning against the wall next to the door.

"How is she?" Ryan rose quickly, looking almost desperate for reply.

His smile curved up. "She's fine now. Nothing major. Just a gash above her left eyebrow from the impact of the stair but nothing else to fuss about."

Ryan left out a heavy breathe of relieve as if he was holding it for too long. "Thank god."

"Wait," I said, also rising from against the wall to be next to Ryan. "If its nothing to fuss about then why are you smiling so much? I know it's good to smile but at a time like this? Do you find it amusing?"

Ryan looked from me to him grimly, his face hardening at the sight of his grin.

"Oh no. Certainly not Luna," he said. "Forgive me. I haven't given my congrats yet on two very important pending matters. One is for you Nora, on becoming the Luna of the RedBlood Pack. I couldn't attend the marriage to give my congrats so forgive me again."

This time I roll my eyes. It wasn't like my marriage was the Top 10 list of 'The Marriages of Year', so why even bother?

"And what was second thing you were going to give your congrats for Dr.O'Brien?" Mia asked, looking past my eye roll.
