So I started a new page of notes where I put ideas for the possible next chapter of DISM. And I gotta say, it's a brilliant idea.
First on the list that kinda annoys me is marriage. I know, I know, I've already got a chapter on this but ya gotta hear me out.
Marriage is a serious commitment. Not a way to halal date. Ya feel me?
The MC girl is always a great Muslim, with no flaws. She has these low-key dates at the diner (always at the diner) with a non-Mahram which eventually leads to marriage that takes place shortly after. What really ticks me off is the fact that she's EIGHTEEN. Or even younger. God Forbid.
DMFOSMORNROTMELWMOREKSMDLEMFM. OH. MY. MERCIFUL ALL-KNOWING LORD.
I need a breather. I mean, yeah the Prophet encouraged people to marry young but seriously. In the West, that's near impossible. And lots of these books are set there.
I want to read a book about Islamic kings and queens. Rulers or something. That'd be awesome.
I'm just going to make a cliché scenario. Where, the girl is a fabulous Muslim, straight As and is a overall happy-go-lucky optimistic person. The boy, a badass with a history that isn't a good Muslim. His wardrobe always consists of a leather jacket and a motor vehicle of some sort. Seriously?
Why?
This isn't a chicklit dramatic movie. It's supposed to be a realistic novel. With realistically believable characters.
I like how the MC's best or closest friend is always hyper all the time and always high on drugs. SARCASM
"Hey Maysaa, "
"HEY BUD BUD! WOO! CRAY CRAY LIFE ROCKS. SWEG."
I'm done. I'm just. Wow. I've reached Peak.
I think I've made my point pretty clear. End of discussion.
