Chapter 6- The flight to Kansas

  I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock. "Ugh...what time is it?" I asked no one. I grabbed my phone off of the nightstand that was in my parents spare bedroom and turned the alarm off and checked the time. It was four in the morning, what fuck! Oh wait we have to be out of here by six and it takes me twenty minutes in the bathroom while it takes Colby a thousand years.

   I threw the covers off of me and on to Colby like always and head down stairs to make a quick breakfast. I jogged down the stairs and into the kitchen and I was shocked at what I had seen, it was a whole bunch of breakfast foods. 'Aww my mother is the best' I thought to myself. I walked to the food and seen a note,

                    Dear my sweet baby girl,

I love you so much, when you were born I knew you were going to do amazing things with your life and find and an amazing soulmate. I know that with Dante is very proud of you and that he is always by your side.

I began to tear up, "I love my mom so much" I said to no one in particular. I then felt a pair of arms around me. "Hey babe what are you doing?" A familiar voice says behind me. I knew it was Colby, "Nothing just getting ready to eat breakfast" I said.

*time skip on the plane*

As we began to take off I started to get nervous. I didn't really enjoy going on planes, after watching that god damn World War Z(sorry if you like it but I hate that fucking movie) movie and Snakes on Plane I didn't enjoy it to much after that. But luckily I would have Colby to protect me so I would be fine. Then we heard the captain say over the intercom,

  "Attention all passengers this is your captain speaking, we will be arriving in Maine in exactly one hour, I hope you enjoy your flight". I looked over I Colby, he knew I didn't enjoy plane rides, "Its okay baby we'll be fine". I nodded my head and then looked out the window, "Do you think your parents will like me?" I asked bluntly. I looked over at Colby and he looked back at me,"Of course! They'll adore you! I mean I have bragged about you a good hundred times so they basically know you already" Colby said smiling.

  I rolled my eyes playfully and looked back out the window. I began to think about the first time I had ever met Brennen and how Colby introduced him to me. It crazy that was almost eight years ago when Colby and I just got back together.

-flash back-

  "Baaaaabe" I could here Colby scream my name from our room, mind you its the farthest away from the stairs. "What?" I yelled back. I didn't here an answer, "Oh my gad are ya kidding me" I said doing a slight accent of a typical white girl. I opened the door and went downstairs to see Colby talking to a guy with black hair. "What did you want Brock?" I asked. Colby looked at me then at the dude, "Brennen this is my girlfriend, Nacyla. Nacyla. Brennen. Brennen. Nacyla" Colby introduced us to each other. I shook his hand and we began a conversation, "So Brennen how long have you known Colby?" I asked. "Since back in the vine days" Brennen said trying to sound majestic. I began to laugh and soon we all laughed. "So Nacyla, how did you meet Colby? He hasn't told me the magical story yet" Brennen said giving Colby a death glare. I giggled, "Well..."

-End flash back-

Before I could finish my thought the intercom went off again, "Attention all passengers, we will be landing in 20 minutes so please fasten your seatbelts. Thankyou". I put my seatbelt on and Colby put his on, "You excited?" Colby asked. "I'm a little nervous but I think I'll be fine" I told him. He nodded his head.

*Time skip to driving to the house*

Colby and I have been in this cab for 10 minutes and I'm actually enjoying it because the guy let me change the radio station so now me and him are cool. As we kept driving a sudden wave of realization hit me like a bus 'Im meeting my husbands parents for the first time'. Thats when the nervousness hit, "Colby I don't know if I can do this". Colby looked over at me, "What happened to that confidence earlier?" He asked.

  I shrugged my shoulders, "I have no idea" I said dragging the 'o'. But suddenly the cab stopped, "Alright, were 'ere that'll be $5.23 please" The cab driver said. I pulled out my wallet from my purse but Colby beat me to it and paid the guy before me, "Damn you" I giggled getting out of the car and getting my suitcases. Colby then got out of the car and grabbed his.

   We walked up to the front door and I began to stair at it. "Fuck fuck fuck" I said a little to out loud. Colby then intertwined out fingers together, I looked up at him. He gave his sweet charming smile, "You'll be fine, they'll adore you. I promise". I nodded my head and used my free hand to ring the doorbell. It took maybe 10 minutes until a middle aged woman answered the door, "Hel-Colby?!" The woman hugged him.
