The night has fallen, and Joy could only grip on her bag as she hides her face.
She was looking over to Sungjae who keeps on walking on every corners of the roof top. "Aren't you hungry?" She heard him speak. She awkwardly shook her head, shivering over the cold breeze. "I'm not that cold, take it." He takes off his first layer of sweater, before gently giving it to her. She mouthed a small thank you, before blankly staring away as she places the sweater over her legs.
"Joyiah." He sat beside her, as she blinked. "Can you please speak? This is killing me."
She sniffs, before mumbling. "Mianhe."
"I'm thinking... what can happen after this?" Joy murmured. "Nothing will change." Sungjae mumbled. "There's no use if you're worrying about it.", "Is this a modern version of Romeo and Juliet?" Joy snickered, before he shrugs. "Joy, I'm serious about it." He suddenly uttered, only for her to look at him.
"I don't want to break up with you."
She bit her lower lip, before sighing. "I don't either.", "I... wanted to break out as well.", "Ne?", "Being an idol is not what I wanted." He murmured, before she surprisingly looks at him. "I love the idea of melodies, the idea of singing and performing and having recognition. I just hate the feeling of being controlled. But sadly, that's how the industry works- like a machine, like a doll we are." He explains, only for Joy to stare at him with her somber gaze.
"I didn't want to give this up just because of that." He smiles. "You're special, not because I fell for you. You're special because you're you." Adding over it, he lightly holds her hand, before kneeling down to face her.
She was so beautiful under the night sky.
"Sooyoung-ah, chaebal. Hold on."
She was falling deeper over his gaze, her lips couldn't move while she stares over his presence that was facing her. His knees were over the dirty ground, and their hands were intertwined together. He was just... too lovable. It was something she didn't expect over liking their group for the whole years of her college life. It was too absurd and unbelievable that her ultimate bias was now here, asking for her to stay for him.
He bit his lower lip, before squeezing her hand. "You're not leaving, right?"
She was taken aback for it. It was her first time risking everything for someone, she was too damn scared to give her feelings up. This was one of the reason on why she was so afraid of expressing herself. He was different, not because he was an idol. He was different that he can make her open her heart up even if it would hurt her big time. At this rate, it would be stupid for her to leave everyone hanging- especially him.
Who is she kidding? She already fell for him as well. So hard.
"Aniyo." She tears up a little, squeezing his hand. His eyes lit up all of a sudden. He felt a huge lump in his throat earlier, afraid that she might push everything away now that the situation was tough for them. She keeps on blinking her tears away, before gently smiling. "I'm not leaving."
"That's a relief." He gently kissed her palm, before prying them open to hook their fingers properly. He felt so empty, every damn day for the past few years he'd been busy.
Everything is on rewind. Practice, perform, practice, promote. It wasn't that tiring for him, but sometimes it's just so sickening that he can't even had his own life just like the others. But she came. She was someone that supported him as someone close to her heart- not just because he was BTOB's Yook Sungjae.
"Do you trust me?" He blinks a couple of times, before she nodded. "I do."
"Then everything will be alright, I'll promise you that."
