Risky Decisions

I ran out the door when I heard Joel’s car horn honk twice. I sat down in the front passenger seat next to him and gave him a quick kiss. “Morning babe” I said with a smile. I decided last night with Caitlin that I would talk to the girls at school about Finn before I told Joel.

“Hey” He leaned back into his seat and began the short drive to school. “I can’t believe they’re making us write letters to our host families for almost two, it’s ridiculous.”

“Ugh I know right, it’s so awkward too! I mean, I know his name and 3 things he has interests in, how am I supposed to have a 2 month long conversation with him about that?” I complained.

“Wait, he?” Joel stopped the car and turned to look at me.

“I mean’t she haha, silly me!…” I awkwardly fixed my hair and sat up straighter. If you can’t already tell I am the world’s worst lier. By this point I was shitting myself.

“Jesus Sam, you really can be stupid sometimes, how did you manage to get that wrong 3 times in a row?” He took his foot off the break and continued driving.

“Yea, pretty dumb aha” I said in the most awkward voice possible. It’s times like this that I’m thankful for having an idiot or a boyfriend.

“Thought I was gonna have to stop you from going for a second and that would have sucked!” he laughed as we pulled into the school parking lot.

“Yea, that would suck…” I unclipped my seatbelt and stepped out of the car. “I gotta go talk to Mindy and Jane quickly before class, I’ll see you in homeroom!” I yelled before running off to find my friends as fast as I could.

“Wait, so if you tell him, he’s going to stop you from coming?” Mindy asked after I explained my situation to them.

“Yea, pretty much. Guys what the fuck am I gonna do? What is Joel going to do when we turn up at the Sydney airport and I get picked up by some 18 year old surfer boy?!” I whined in despair.

“Well you can’t tell Joel, that’s for sure! And I mean what’s the worst that can happen at the airport, Joel will get mad and maybe make you stay with one of the other girls, which wouldn’t be a problem, I mean, unless it was Cindy” Jane said.

“Hey, you could come stay with me and Amy! I mean, as you can tell from her interests the is gonna be the coolest chick on the planet, I’m soo exited to stay with her” Mindy said sarcastically.

“That actually makes me feel a bit better about this” I said to Jane, ignoring Mindy’s sarcastic comments. “I mean, it’s not like he can just send me back to the US. But then I’ll have to lie to him for a month and a half and you know how bad I am at lying. I was just lucky this morning, I don’t think he could go one and a half months of believing bullshit"

“Well you can always try” Jane said sceptically.

A/N: Hey guys, thanks so much for being patient and thanks so much for all your support, you're the best

I've been really slack with updating and I'd make an excuse but I don't have one, I'm just a lazy shit so bare with me and my lazy ass!

I'm going to try and set a time where I can update each week, I haven't posted in a month so I'll start off with just once a week so I'll say that I'll update every Sunday night which for most of you will probably be Sunday morning or the middle of the night so you can read it whenever aha

Anyway, sorry this is pretty short and sorry for not updating in ages, I'll try to be more consistant! xx
