The Second Floor

Ashley took Rowena to James. She was all determined to hook Antonio up with Rowena.

Meanwhile I went to Ms. Rodriguez's office. I saw John impatiently waiting outside the office.

"Hi. I'm so sorry to be late " I apologise. I was very late.

" when did friends start apologising? "
John said. Smile crept on my lips.

We enter the office together. A well decorated modern air-conditioned office. A beautiful wooden desk. I fair lady sat on the chair behind it.

" you must be John Mason " she said setting her spectacles right .

" um, yes " John replied.

" and you? " she said pointing towards me.

" I'm Rachel Lawrence " I inform.

" hmm. Take a seat " she said.

We sat down and she started to look through some files and she presented some papers in front of us.

" well, our college has some programmes to offer. According to your choices of works, you can opt for a sports scholarship programme. You can work one shift in our school library...... " And she continued to say two three more programmes.

" i think I will opt for the sports scholarship programme. " John declared after a small discussion.

" well, to be able to opt for it, you'll have to be a part ...... " and she explained whatever John has to do.

Soon we came out.

" seems I'll join tomorrow " he said.

" great. But whose gonna be your roomie? "

" Oh , I'm gonna stay with Jordan on the second floor. "

" What! You are gonna stay in the second floor? With Jordan? "

" why? "

" we all are on the second floor. There are six apartments in the second floor. Three girls and three boys. All the girls are filled. Gary and Jack are in one of the boys room. You people are taking the second one. Then whose gonna be in the third one? "

" I dunno. "

" wait , no! " I said predicting something.

John had left when I came back to Ashley.

" Rachel. I got a great news. James and Antonio are living together in the second floor " she said with a smile.

Hearing of James, I had a bad feeling for Natalie. If her momentary crush on James had not been over, it'd create a huge problem.

" i knew it. GOD. This Is so unrealistic. All of us are together. How is it possible.  John and, and Jordan are here too " I exclaimed breathing heavily trying to boost my energy I spent while running.

" wow. Jessica must be very happy then " commented Polly from behind.

The next classes were all interesting. Rowena was smiling so much all day. Antonio had asked her out. Her first date.

" this college is lucky for me " she commented while getting ready for her date tonight.

Polly prepared her for tonight. Antonio had come to pick her up.

" Bring her back by nine " I said quite almost threatening him.

" don't threaten him Rachel. He's not gonna kidnap Rowena " Jessica said patting me back. I shot her a sharp look.

" whoa beast, calm down " she said putting her hands up.

Crushes and Boyfriends of my bestiees are subjects of high alert for me. You may think I sound like a mother, but hey, hey hey! I can't let my friends be with douche bags.

Gary came over in the evening.

" where were you the whole day? " he asked placing his soft pink lips on mine.

" John is our neighbour " I said kissing him back.

" What! John! Where? " and he ran out to see John moving in.

We spent the evening with him. While talking he informed that Ruby is flying out to her grandparents in Florida. This piece of information made me so happy. At Last I got rid of that witch.

It was sharp nine when Rowena entered her room. This did impress me. So i went over at Antonio's to apologise for the threatening attitude. But as soon as I entered I found Ashley and James almost making out. Seeing me Ashley screamed so loud that made me scream so loud so I shouted "AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH"  and came out closing the door shut as quickly as possible.

"GOD! ASHLEY! You should shut the door  at least " I said still not meeting my eyes with Ashley who tucked in her shirt somehow and came out.
" and you could show the courtesy to knock maybe " she said fixing her hair.

" why did you come by the way? " she asked 

" i wanted to apologise to Antonio for my behaviour before "

" he's gone to the library "

" I'll tell him tomorrow " I said.

" Anyways, now that you know, I'm gonna stay over here. So don't disturb me at all. Good night " and she stormed in.

I came back. But instead of a female figure, a male welcomed me.

" welcome back . "Gary said

" why are all the boyfriends so romantic today? " I asked as I walked up to him.

Pulling me closer by my waist he said
"Polly wanted to be with Jack tonight"

"hmm"  I say and then I wrap my arms around his neck. He tightens his grip around me. I lean in and place a soft kiss on his lips. But it doesn't remain soft anymore. Gary pulls me into a passionate and powerful kiss, letting his tongue explore it's way in my mouth. I ran my hand through his hair, keeping ourselves connected. Ending the kiss with a soft moan made Gary smile. He then picked me up in the bridal style and took me to my room.

"hmm. " I said with a smile 

" What? "

" nothing. It'd be great to wake up next to you tomorrow "

" when did I say I was going to sleep with you ? " Gary said with a smirk.

" Oh really? " I said and I jumped off his hold ." fine. Sleep alone " and I push him on the bed and turn away to leave. Gary curls his arms around my waist and pulls back in bed with him.

" whaaa hh. " i exclaim as I fall on the bed. He gets up to rest on his elbow and looks at me." I'd love to wake up with you next to me every morning. "he said fixing his intense gaze in my hazel eyes. I smile uncontrollably.

Changing into night clothes, Gary and I soon fall asleep together, cuddling each other.

Can't wait for tomorrow morning.

I think as I drift off to deep sleep.

What a coincidence that all the friends live on the same floor.
