"What the heck is that?!" Jessie screamed running behind the couch terrified. The rest of the group looked at the beast shocked.
"It was a mishap is the la-" Steven was about to say before realizing his mistake. "I mean closet!"
"The machine couldn't have made this! " Andrew whispered to himself. "I did all the calculations correctly." Carly ran up to the cloud of smoke, and poked it.
"I don't remember bringing a car in here." Carly said, scratching her head.
"Carly I don't think-" Paulo started to say before Carly cut him off.
"Or having eaten burritos today at lunch." She continued to say. Steven went to object, but she continued once again.
"Or... did any of you guys had any?" Carly asked. Jessie laughed.
"Carl why..." Jessie asked her, chuckling all the while.
"Well I blame Obama," Paulo said, staring at the cloud of smoke that floated before them. "Because I don't have anyone else to blame."
"SAME!" Matt and Jake yelled at the same time. Everyone laughed, while others cackled.
The cloud of smoke scoffed, which directed everyone's attention to it. His eyes glowed red, and he smirked, showing his sharp teeth.
"Oh what a lovely scene." It said, glaring at them. "Do you really think that I came from a car or the lunch you had today? You people are idiots."
"Hey! Only half of us are!" Jade yelled. "We gotta do something about this monster."
"Agreed." The others said. "ATTACK!"
Paulo went in from behind the monster while Jake took the front. They tried to hold it down, but it slipped out of their reach. Katie went in to jab it in the center, but once again her hand slipped through. Jade and Jessie threw pillows at the cloud, but the monster dodged the attack. This had gone on for a while.
"Now its my turn to attack!" The monster screeched. The group stepped back as the smoke spun into the air. It spread it's arms out, as it spun faster. It stopped, releasing a boom of sound that sent the group backwards.
"Eeeeh." They moaned.
"I can't feel my legs" Matt whined. He looked at the others, a look of worry was on his face.
"Can't you outcasts see? I'm the chaos, I'm the fear, I'm the sadness, I'm the hate!" It yelled, scanning the room. "And your all under my control now!"
"So much for good time," Katie said, frowning. She looked to the girls, and then to the boys.
"Yeah, this was supposed to be a project on friendship." Steven laughed. "The irony, am I right?" The others chuckled. Steven exchanged smiles with Katie, who did the same with Andrew, who looked at Jade. They went on, remembering the fun times they had during that night.
Then, as some say, a spark ignited between them. After exchanging looks between each other, they all stood up. The cloud of smoke wasn't even paying attention, but looked surprised to see they had stood up.
"Oh, ready for more I guess?" It said, thinking that it would defeat them again.
"You may think that friends fight all the time, and they really do," Carly started to say.
"But that doesn't mean that we get out of the fights weaker, heck we get out of them stronger than before!" Matt said, crossing his arms.
"This is unheard of! I don't want to hear another word-" The smoke started to say, before being cut off.
"CAN IT YOU BURRITO CLOUD." Steven yelled. "Or something like that, I don't know."
The smoke scoffed once again, and rolled it's eyes at them. Then Paulo grabbed Jade's hand, who grabbed Andrew's, who grabbed Jessie's, who grabbed Jake's, and so on. They squeezed each other's hands tightly and an aura of different colors swirled around them, shining a light across the room.
"W-what is this?" The cloud of smoke yelled.
"You wanna tell him guys?" Andrew said, looking at everyone beside him. They all nodded.
"THE POWER THAT UNITES US ALL! THE DIFFERENCES THAT MAKE US!" The group yelled, feeling a light sensation of joy.
A beam of golden light shone from the middle of them, becoming larger by the second. Then the beam of light raced to the smoke cloud, surrounding it with a positive energy.
"AAAAAAUUGH!" The smoke screamed as parts of it flew away some place else. The light in the room was almost blinding.
Everything was quiet.
