It was just a normal day, a normal school, and the very beginning of how some certain kids found something new. The silent halls were empty, at least for now. Carly and Jade burst through the door, frantically escaping the room.
"RUN!" Carly yelled as they raced down the hall way, faster than all the girls at their school. Carly was new to... Well I wouldn't wan't to spoil the ending... The group. She was very outgoing, and brave. She also had a bit of a weird side. She had long blonde hair that reached her back, a dark long blue shirt with stripes. On top of that, she had a gray t-shirt over it. She wore jeans that were tattered a bit. She had gray sneakers, and had a diamond necklace, and had all the colors of the rainbow in it.
"We better not be late again!" Jade complained as stampede of kids came down the hall, almost knocking the two over girls over. Jade was very different from everyone else. People said stuff about her sometimes, but that didn't change the way her friends knew her. She had brown hair, which was very tangled. She dyed her hair blue and pink where it parted at her face. Jade wore a black t-shirt and leggings. She had many bracelets from many events on both of her wrists.
Everyone was always in a hurry to get to lunch, and this time Carly and Jade made it to the front of the herd, which was a BIG mistake.
"No no no no!" Jade screamed as she fell down the stairs while Carly skidded down the halls, almost bumping into their fellow students. At this time, Jade and Carly were just... friends. They talked to each other in the past, like at Hill Side, their old summer camp, but now that they were in the same school, things had changed.
"Is this really worth it?!" Carly said breathlessly, gliding around the corners and jumping past people.
"What do you think?" Jade yelled as she leaped through the cafeteria doors, and landed flat on her face.
"CATCH ME FLOOR!" Carly yelled as she fell onto the floor only to be greeted by the 'was that really necessary' face by her friend, Andrew.
"Yes, that was necessary," she said standing up, brushing the dirt off her sleeves. This was Andrew. He's always been the smartest student at Brewster middle school. However he was a bit quirky... Made you wonder why he would ever hang out around the rest of the group. He had brown hair that went up in a swoosh. He wore jeans with sneakers. Andrew wore a light blue t-shirt.
"WAIT FOR ME NEXT TIME!" Jade yelled to Carly, sitting down at their table underneath the mysterious stain that appeared one day. This school may have been approved by the state, but certainly not by anyone in town.
"Hey bro!" Katie said excitedly as the girls sat down. Katie was a very interesting person. At first glance, you might say she was just one of those sporty girls or inconsiderate at times, but she was very different. She was one of the funniest people at their table. Katie had long dark brown hair, and wore a dark blue t-shirt with jeans and sneakers.
"Ya know what I just noticed?" Katie said, looking around the lunch room mysteriously.
"That we should get a longer lunch period?" Jade asked, which was a reasonable question, while stirring around the 'corn' that was on her lunch tray.
"Yes! Of course!" Katie responded, sarcastically, frowning at Jade. Katie could be irritated easily sometimes, "It's that we haven't done PLC in the morning like we always do, I got a bad feeling about this." She said.
"Humanity." Andrew responded, with a straight face.
Everyone looked at him. Awkward silence fell over the table until Carly started freaking out. "NOOOOO WERE ALL GONNA BE DEAD! GET READY FOR THE HORROR!" Carly screamed, and started flailing her arms, spazzing around.
"Was that really-" Andrew began to say, before being cut off by Carly.
"Yes Andrew, yes it was you derp." She said, making a duck face while tucking her hair behind her ear.
"There are a lot of problems at this school..." Jade groaned, putting in her earbuds, "For example, they try to get us to eat healthy food, but I don't think the food they are serving us is what you would say 'healthy' if you know what I mean." She pushed away her lunch that tasted like the bottom of a foot after going for a walk for nine hours.
"Let's just hope it's something... Well... I can't think of a benefit." Katie said, drinking a sip of her milk.
Then a teacher clapped for everyone's attention in a rhythm. The group jerked their heads in the direction of the noise.
"I think we're about to find out the second problem with this school." Katie said annoyed, slouching. In her seat.
The teacher clapped once again, but of course nobody answered. They weren't in first grade anymore.
