Darry's POV
I like Jewel and Alex. They say they're from Phoenix, Arizona. The valley of the Sun. I asked them what it was like and they said hot and sunny so they weren't use to the cold.

-Time skip to about 2 weeks after Jewel and Alex got dumped into that zone-

Jewel's POV
Since we're waiting until the next school year to start me, Alex and Dally hung out around the house while Soda was working and everyone else was doing what ever I decided I wanted to go to the DX to see Soda. "Hey Alex want to go to the DX?" I asked she said she wanted to stay here so I asked Dally. "Hey Dally will you come to the DX? I want to see Soda and I don't want to go alone" He said fine and smiles slightly. "Your gonna be fine right Alex?" I asked just to make sure. She said she was. Ne and Dally started going. I asked him if she would be fine there until Johnny and Pony got there and he said she would be. Then a flashback came. I froze up on the sidewalk. Dally watched to make sure I was ok.

-Flash Back Starts-
Our parents told us that they would be back home in three hours. They told us if they weren't home in three hours call the neighbors. The time came and went. I waited. They didn't come back. I called the neighbors and told them I was worried. They called the cops and they came and asked a few questions then left.
-flash back ends-
I started crying because I don't want anyone to take Alex. Dally just started awkwardly hugging me. I hugged him back. He whispered "It's ok Jewel. It's ok. Everything's gonna be fine." I tried to calm down but couldn't so he started stroking my hair until I fell asleep in his arms hugging his neck.
