BETRAYAL

Jughead and Katherine agreed on not living together anymore, since Fiona Parker was coming back to town. Now, the dark haired boy lived with the Andrews, who were more than happy to let him in.

"Katherine." Fiona called out as her daughter sat at the dining table, eating waffles topped with whipped cream and cocktail cherries,
"Dr Kingston was wondering how you're doing. He thinks it's best to schedule one more appointment."

"Dr Kingston can go to hell, for all I care." The brunette blurted out with her mouth full.

"What did you say?" Her mother jerked her head towards the girl.

"Did you know that he's been giving me the wrong pills?" Kat questioned,
"I mean, you were the one who signed the agreement with the names of the medication I've been taking for the past months. You could've at least googled them."

"Honey," Fiona sighed,
"I'm sorry. I... Just wanted you to get better. You should have told me that the pills were troubling you. Are you still taking them?"

"Of course not," the brunette frowned,
"At least now I understand why I felt so zoned out when I first came back."

"Kitten," The brunette's mother stepped closer to her daughter,
"Maybe it's for the best. After everything that happened with Jason--"

"Mom, I am fine. There is... Somebody helping me to deal with everything that has happened." Katherine tried to reassure her as she stood up from the table,
"I gotta go to school now. Bye."

The brunette pecked her mother on the cheek as she left the house. However, Fiona was more than distraught. As soon as her daughter left, the mother picked up her phone and dialed the phone number of a certain acquaintance,
"Dr Kingston," Fiona greeted as soon as she heard the doctor's voice on the other end of the phone,
"There might be a problem..."

"So, how's life with Justin Gingerlake?" Katherine asked Jughead as she closed the door of her locker.

"He snores," the dark haired boy chuckled,
"What about you, Kat? Did you ask your mom about you father's investigation?"

"No, I never got to that," the brunette sighed as the two walked along the halls of Riverdale High,
"She looked quite mad when I told her about the pills. But she didn't seem mad at Dr Kingston for getting the wrong prescription, she was more upset by the fact that I stopped taking them."
